This is such a strange place... a forest aglow with magic of no element you can discernment, with a sky stained the violet and fuchsia of dusk. How could such a place exist in the barren wasteland of the Southern Icefields?

...And how could there be a pumpkin patch growing up from eight inches of snow?

There is no mistaking it, however- these bright orange dots against the white of the earth, scattered amidst the trees, are pumpkins. Huge ones, any farmer would be proud.

And as you watch, they start to turn. Each one is moving by itself on the vines, turning around until a hundred leering jack-o-lantern faces are looking straight at you. A bright golden light shines from one, a green light from another, red, blue, a rainbow of jack-o-lanterns. Then, slithering up to the top of one of the largest, a spiral hatchling spreads her forelimbs and wings and bears her teeth.

"Grrr! How dare you set foot in the pun'kin patch of the darned! Prepare to be punished!"

Her menace is somewhat undercut by the fact that she's tiny and bright pink, however.

Oh no, a "haunted" pumpkin patch! What do you do?
