"What are you doing?" it seems to hum at you, despite the fact that again, there is no [i]mouth[/i] to emit the sounds you are hearing. You have no answer, and even though you are sure that your expression is stunned or scared, the eye doesn't seem to notice. "Are you here to trick or treat?" [i]What?[/i] "If you are, just sign your name here, if you would please, and you can be on your way. No need to go thrashing about the undergrowth and disturbing all my carefully cultivated [i]Umbra Parthenium[/i]." A sheet of paper somehow appears before the eye, asking for your name, among other things that you don't quite grasp. This time, your confusion must show because the eye seems to sigh, rising up and down in more irritation as it produces a rather thick pamphlet of papers, also from seemingly nowhere. "Read this. And read it carefully, I'm getting too old to chase after you lot with sticks when things go awry," it says. You pick at the pages and begin to read. Rarely is it seen, but it seems to have appeared solely for the festivities--which is strange, since it has no thoughts, head empty. But perhaps the scent of pumpkin spice and the scuttling of fallen leaves has attracted its attention. Even if it's a gremlin, or an eldritch horror, or better yet, a powerful deity from the heavens above, just know that there is no need for alarm when it shows up on your doorstep.
