____Vallan was born and raised in the Scarred Wasteland, but left his clan soon after reaching adulthood, as is the way of Guardian dragons. Vallan wanted to visit the Ashfall Waste in search of a charge, but had to go through the Windswept Plateau first. It was while passing through the Zephyr Steppes that he stumbled upon one of the clans residing there. They were a newly created clan, less than five dragons and the nesting grounds hadn't even been set up yet. It was a tiny purple dragon that Vallan barely noticed flitting around his head, a Fae named Kay, who first greeted Vallan and asked if he would like to join their small clan. Vallan declined at first, having no interest in being part of a group that would no doubt continue to grow. However, he was getting very hungry. Kay heard his stomach growl and darted away. Thinking that he scared her, Vallan was about to walk away, until Kay quickly flew back with a basket full of food for him. He stayed to eat and rest, but the more he learned about this ragtag bunch of dragons, the less he wanted to leave. Urvine, an interesting young Fae, was studying hard to become Baldwin's new apprentice, but needed help with gathering items. Ninohu, a newly hatched Tundra, seems to be a natural born prankster and needs to be constantly monitored. Over time, days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, and, realizing he was staying much longer than intended with no desire to leave, Vallan decided to join the clan.

____Vallan is still not fully sure if he's found his charge, but in the meantime, he is willing to help Kay take care of the clan.

____Vallan spent most of his time in the Coliseum, defeating the various beasts that would dare approach his team. With each victory, he grew stronger. With his share of the spoils, he bought armor. With his spare time, he learned new abilities. Soon Vallan would be considered one of the best fighters in his clan, and became the head combat instructor.

____After many battles in the Coliseum alongside Kay, Vallan has made his decision. He feels a certain connection to her, as though he's drawn to her. To protect the small and fragile Fae brings him great pride, and he's sure it must be a sign that this little creature is who his charge was meant to be. Spending time with Kay also brings him happiness that he has never felt before. It warms his heart to know that Kay genuinely enjoys his company. However, he still has not told her, nor anyone else, that he has found his charge. He does not intend to, either. For now, Vallan just wants to enjoy his life. He'll inform them that his stay is permanent when he feels ready to admit such a thing, as he had never expected his charge to involve being around many other dragons, and was hoping he could find comfort in solitude while guarding an inanimate charge.

____It wasn't long after Vallan began sparring with the promising new warriors in the clan that he earned the undivided attention of an unexpected friend. A Scythe Kamaitachi, one of the familiars that joined the clan after encountering them in the coliseum, was eager to challenge the big Guardian to a duel. Vallan underestimated her at first, and was nearly bested by the smaller creature, but with a swift and powerful headbutt, the brave Kamaitachi was knocked unconscious. After such a well-fought battle, Vallan waited until she woke up, and offered to let her fight alongside him. The Scythe Kamaitachi was frustrated by her loss, but accepted the offer, at least to be able to let off steam by venturing out to the coliseum and fighting more often. A few days after the duel, Scy, as Vallan calls her, quickly began to warm up to him, and the two bloodthirsty Plague creatures have been getting along quite well ever since.

____It was bound to happen, with the feelings between the two dragons growing, and their extended time spent together. Vallan took initiative in building the nest as quickly as possible, and a few days later, their two eggs hatched into female dragons who looked similar in color, yet different breeds. One was a Fae, like her mother, and was named Ely. Unlike her mother, she seemed less excitable and had more of a calm, almost irritable, demeanor. The other was a Guardian, like her father, and was named Casiba. She enjoyed combat like her father did, but also had a kind heart towards dragons, like her mother.
