Juliette is a legitimately kind dragon. While she can fight, and has, she prefers to fill her time with pursuits of the mind, gathering knowledge. Few people were surprised when Shadow fell for her, but many were bemused when she chose him over her scrolls, such was her love of reading. They are one of the few pairs in the clan that are exclusive to each other.
Shadow, her previous mate, who was much stronger with magic, enchanted some candles to float around the lore-keepers, and automatically position themselves to provide the best light for reading in different conditions. She teased him, saying she stinks of wax, but he insisted she smelled only of wisdom filled tomes and fresh paper.
