Chestnut is a mutant member of the canopy subspecies, characterized by their camouflage coloring. Xe prefers the company of nature and animals to dragons, finding dragons a barbaric species who have turned their backs on their nature roots. Being inside crowds makes them anxious so they live within a large tree outside the clan and are rarely ever seen within the clan lair.

Concerned by the quick growth of nearby clans, Chestnut decided to live near GoldenFlight in order to keep an eye on its effect on the surrounding nature. Xe makes sure that the clan and its activities don't damage the natural ecosystem, especially the endangered wildlife species of the land.
