Starseed
Head Guard • Clan Founder
B I O G R A P H Y
Starseed was a kind hearted Guardian that grew up close to The Observatory, he don't have memories about his parents, but living so close to the Arcanist was a comfort and he is a very devoted fellow.
He had much more contact with Faes than any other race of dragons, that's why Starseed always felt more comfortable around them than others and while growing up he learned to fight using arcane magic by himself and honed his abilities to a scaring degree for someone self taught.
Starseed was born a Guardian, but his size always made him clumsy, so with a lot of research and dedicated study he was able to craft a magical scroll able to change his size, he was aiming to change to a Fae (his favorite breed), but his magic was too volatile and he ended up as a Tundra with some Guardians' characteristics, such as the fins/horns, not that he minded much, he loves his fluffiness now and don't plan to change again so soon.
He is one of the founders of the clan, and in the beginning when he was very young still he and Starbound, the other founder of the clan, had a convoluted relationship, they always loved each other very deeply, but it wasn't meant to be a romance, not at the time at least, with both of them so young and inexperienced. Starseed is an intersex dragon, and thanks to this he and Starbound were able to have many children despite both identifying as male. It was when the clan was still small and unprotected and living so close to the Starwood Strand despite beautiful was not easy, not for their young children at least. None of their kids stayed, many going missing after leaving their parents and that's a pain and regret that haunts them to to this day.
Yet life's keep going and despite his pain and heartbreak so does Starseed, he had many lovers after his breakup with Starbound, but the most notorious and even more convoluted was with Nebulae, a gorgeous vicious Coatl that left the clan after breaking up with Starseed... they're still friends, albeit distant ones and don't see each other so often.
Today he mostly stay at the outpost training everyone that passes there for the week and honing the skills of those that come more often to the place. He's content despite his life's hardships and has many friends that visit him there, Bellize, one of his first (adopted) children - thankfully never left the clan and is strong enough that Starseed don't worry when she goes on her travels to visit her other family and that's a balm to his heart, since the Guardian is one of the few of his older children that wasn't lost.
In the last few years he and Starbound got closer again and with time they both started to heal the old wounds of loss and heartbreak of the past. With the encouragement of Starbound's partner (and an old friend of Starseed) Markarian to help in their healing, they tried for another clutch of eggs and surprisingly the first to hatch was actually a little Guardian, like he himself have been before his change, they were all healthy and magically gifted to his greatest relief. He never thought he would have a chance at this type of happiness again and is forever grateful for the kind Imperial for helping them both to find their happy ending as well, he rekindled his romance with Starbound and despite not romantically involved with the Imperial he considers Markarian his queerplatonic partner.
More children came after the first three and all of them are healthy and magically powerful, he just wished most of them didn't decide to venture outside of the clan so often, but Starseed is much more experienced now and trains them well enough to know they can survive anything that may come their way. He believes in them and know his children can and will survive. He helps with raising their children and despite his duties as the Head Guard of the clan he's very present and loves them all with all his heart.
