♪ Dead Flowers ♪
When Starbound first opened his eyes all he saw was a vast beautifully star-filled sky. He was a Fae alone in the world, but he was not afraid, he could feel in his very bones that someone was watching over him, protecting him even before being born. When he learned to fly, it was easy to find others, the Starwood Strand was home of many other Fae like himself. There people both respected and feared him, his powers were not common, he was blessed by their very creator, The Arcanist. It was then that he realized what was this presence that always looked over him.
Starbound loved the Faes, but he never felt like he belonged, he then traveled to all other regions in hopes to learn more about the world, and by doing it he made many friendships. After years wandering without destiny he felt it was time to go back home, he missed his beloved land and only here he could feel the presence of his creator fully by his side. When he arrived he found a lonely Guardian called Starseed and without notice they became fast friends.
After some time roaming through the Crystalspine Reaches they decided it was time to settle and make there their new home. Some years later, when more dragons joined them and the clan started to take form they found a gigantic crater in the northwest region of the Starwood Strand, perfect was the first thing that crossed Starbound's mind after laying his eyes on the place, so the building of the town of Patera started.
Bound and Seed, despite working beautifully as friends had a convoluted and hurtful romance when they decided to have children together, they were both too young and inexperienced and it resulted in the loss of many of their offspring no matter how hard they tried to protect them. This soured their relationship for years and they found companionship in others beside each other for many decades until ironically Starbound's partner, helped them to make up and forgive themselves, learning to let the past go and healing old wounds that never seemed to close.
Starbound is a compassionate, star-loving dragon, that sometimes can lost track of time while gazing at the wonders of the night sky, despite his air-headness he's a great leader to his people and is really loved by everyone that chooses to follow him.
After the town's foundation was finished he was cursed by an envious Fae that used to live nearby the crater and turned him into a Pearlcatcher, he took a long time to get used to his new size and even more so how to express himself in such a different form, but aside from that he didn't mind the change that much. His pearl was formed already of the size of an adult Pearlcatcher and was infused with arcane essence, he does not have the habit of "layering" his pearl that often, but unconsciously his arcane essence is always imbued into the pearl giving it a pinkish glow, over the years he also learned to use his pearl as a canalyzer of arcane energy, using it to aid him in battle sometimes.
Starbound despite his appearance is quite old, his profound knowledge and practice in the arcane arts reduced greatly his aging to a crawl and possibly completely in the near future if he keeps using the old arts as he does (which he will, there's no question to it), he doesn't mind tough, he never feels tired or old at all and he finds infinitely amusing when dragons as young as his grandchildren hit on him without knowing who he is. Some of his kids looks way older than him, like Belize and Heather.
Unbeknown to anyone Starbound is deeply wounded by the many people he cared deeply and that left his life, disappearing or dying as the years passed, to change that he started to study long forgotten Arcane Tomes... and partly succeeding in never letting the ones he care and are still with him to leave him behind... ever again. And with that never leaving the Falling Stars Territories by their own will.
In a somewhat unexpected turn of evens he and Markarian ended up dating (the two of them go hunting in more dangerous areas from time to time, since they're the strongest of the town), not even themselves know exactly how they ended up together, only that thanks to Omega's meddling they are now and happier for it.
Markarian is the one that helped him and Starseed get together again as well, something he never thought he would be able to do, since their relationship ended many years before in a mess of tears and hurtful words and he regretted it ever since. With the imposing but kind imperial to buffer them tough they put their past to rest and gave each other a chance again, even trying for children once more, the first new clutch was born healthy and happy and cared by the three of them with much love and all of them layered in protective magic so strong Starbound could finally breath in relief knowing whatever they may go through, they would survive.
Many more came after these first three, some despite his fears decided to venture the world... sadly all he could do was pray to the arcanist to keep them safe.

Unbeknownst to Starbound four of his children before the homebound spell was lifted still survive and even one grandchild of him, tough they remain lost in Sornieth and without contact to clan or kin, they are Brash, Suigetsu, Rei and Aleksei.
