_____Hyacintho is a respected bounty hunter, known far and wide for the efficiency with which he takes down his targets… and oftentimes the excessive violence involved. Even within his own clan, that respect is paired with fear - an attitude the imperial cannot and will not begrudge them. Hyacintho knows the others can see it in him, can recognize the keen ache for violence in his own talons and teeth. He burns with shame.

_____This recognition of their own violent nature is what drove them to become a bounty hunter in the first place - in their eyes, it’s a safe way to vent that bloodlust (though his targets would certainly say otherwise). Despite the ample opportunities to lessen the pressure of their aggression (and the short leash they keep themself on), the imperial is still terrified they’ll harm their clanmates and other innocent dragons; this fear prompts Hyacintho to keep other dragons at a distance. As a result, they’re quite lonely.

_____However, one dragon in particular walks right through his attempts at self-isolation: Sarcosuchus. The coatl recognizes him as a fellow violently-inclined dragon, and skips right over the fear part of his usual reception. She enjoys spending time with him, and Hyacintho respects her highly in return (he also feels at ease with her presence since she’s proved time and time again that she can defend herself). The imperial sometimes even brings the other small gifts, pilfered from his marks.
