Charming and somewhat glib, Kyrakios is a bit of a rarity among the more introverted dragons of his clan and the arcane flight in general. His greatest passion is the exchange of ideas, which he firmly believes to be the greatest stepping stone to a more complete understanding of the cosmos. A skilled magic-worker, he seeks to understand the way that magic is interwoven into the world around him and its inhabitants, as well as the effects that the increasing dragon population has on an already-unstable world. He is a talker and a thinker, more than a doer, a trait which is nicely complemented by the hands-on nature of his mate, Aella. As the clan's size has grown steadily, Kyrakios has gradually taken on more and more responsibility. Where once Tasoula was responsible for the clan's leadership due to her size and fierce nature, now that its existence is no longer in jeopardy, Kyrakios' talents have come to the forefront. He has proven himself to be a shrewd planner and politician, and is responsible for most of the clan's financial transactions and new hatchling acquisitions. His magical aptitude has grown as well, and he is now capable of manipulating magical energies with a finesse and delicacy that most dragons can only dream of. The question has been raised: why would an Arcane dragon such as Kyrakios seek to hoard such large amounts of treasure, to gain such notoriety for his clan, to forge so many alliances with clans of other flights? None can say for certain. Kyrakios has proven that he is not ill-intentioned, at least in the eyes of most of his clan. He keeps the promises he makes and he ensures the care of the dragons for whom he considers himself responsible. Yet where his ambition comes from - some suspect his Lightning-blooded mate, Aella - remains a mystery, a well-cloaked one at that. Perhaps he seeks to fill some gnawing hunger inside himself, perhaps he is perpetually discontent, or perhaps he is preparing for some cataclysm he can see in the magical energies around his home. Perhaps all of these things; perhaps none at all. Kyrakios' familiar, Brutus, is an enormous, dragon-sized ruby webwing, who displays a preternatural intelligence and seems to understand the tongues of dragons, but speaks only in an expressive range of "GRAWP"s. |
