Valentine was born to Salamiel and Morgana on a day celebrating the love between dragons. His siblings eventually left to serve the Lightweaver, leaving Valentine as his mother's only remaining child. Unfortunately, he did not inherit most of her gift for magic, and she had soon left the clan for their ally, the Watchers. Salamiel had little time for his son, especially as Valentine had none of his cunning. Growing up, Valentine spent most of his time with SuaveStrawberry, watching the other and his partner, Lupin work together.

As time passed, Valentine began to notice that no one else could see the pink glow around the two which seemed to grow the longer they were together. Eventually, he went to Aqua, figuring she was more approachable than many of the mages. To his surprise, he noticed the same glow around Aqua and her friend, Terra. After much discussion and a trial or two, Aqua finally determined that this was a latent manifestation of his magical heritage, allowing him to see the love shared between individuals. With practice, she theorized that he would be able to improve upon this skill.

Valentine took her words to heart, practicing expanding his gift as he helped out around the clan. It took some time, however eventually he was able to control his abilities to the point where he could see a faint purple glow around dragons who were destined to be together. It was too tempting to do nothing and so Valentine eventually began to subtly set those with a matching glow around each other up. Over time he began to grow a reputation for matchmaking, eventually making that his job. Valentine still enjoys spending his free time with Suave Strawberry and, if not for his gift, likely would have become a fashion designer (although many think his fashion sense is a little... iffy).

Okay, I'll admit, I mostly noticed him at first cause those wide eyes. But I really love that apparel on him, especially after reading his bio! I love the idea of him also being a fashion designer, ESPECIALLY if he's not so good at it (though I'd argue his current outfit looks LOVELY on him, no pun intended ehe). The rest of his outfit is pretty great too, I always enjoy heartswirl paired with the lovestruck apparel set, they just fit together. His lore is fun, a little sad seeing that he got effectively abandoned by his parents, but it's nice that he bonded with other members of the clan.
