______ Laurel was born on the winter solstice to Gaerendyl and Hiva. Unlike her brother, Laurel is loud and outspoken. As a hatchling, she refused to do anything that was asked of her, often running off on her own following different scents on the air. Many in the clan jokingly declared her to be almost like a tundra in how often she would follow her nose into trouble. Laurel soon began building a collection of scents she liked, her father often helping her to identify the plants and telling her more about them.

______ It was Inari who first gave her the idea that scents could be used to help others. In exchange for helping her figure out how to utilize the scents from the plants, Inari often gets some of the other's product for free, using it around the Sakura Chashitsu to help her customers feel more relaxed. Laurel often makes fun of her brother, although she loves him more than anything. Above anything, she wants him to be happy and healthy and isn't afraid to stand up to anyone who she sees as being in the way of this.

Name origin: A type of plant associated with the winter solstice. The evergreen shrub has aromatic leaves with clusters of small, yellowish white flowers, and is used frequently in holiday decor.

ahem. look, i really like laurel's colours separately already, and together? well she looks impeccable. soft gold over harder browns with a pop of blue and green. very good. speaking of pops of colour, very nice apparel choices! i do not usually look at the harvest sets but it definitely matches her incredibly here.
as for the lore, i actually don't usually see incensemakers, so that's really cool. i like how it ties into the starswirl she's got as well (and speaking of the starswirl- those are pretty hard to work with, from my experience, and you sure used it great here) 2BDamned
