She came to the Squalls as a child, convinced that she owed allegiance not just to her birth home of Dragonhome, but also to her ancestral home of the Windswept Plateau. She said she was a priestess and she served both Earthshaker and Windsinger. Her mission was to bring joy to everyone. They called her Korgu and she had soon found herself a home.

Of everyone in the clan, though, only one dragon took her self-proclaimed calling seriously. Ignis was seeking those interested in knowledge and the young Korgu was eager to learn. He invited her into his secret society, the Sundial Acolytes, with the promise that someday, when he was no longer needed by the Squalls, they would all travel and study with knowledge as their goal. Korgu was eager to accept his offer and became Ignis' recordkeeper with the help of her serthis companion, Cerastes.

In her pursuit of knowledge, Korgu adopted the storytelling and history keeping traditions of both of her flights, combining Earth's detailed memorization with Wind's exaggerated tale-weaving. She knows the entire history of her adopted clan as well as the Wind and Earth flights as a whole. Korgu is still a spiral, however, and getting her to sit still and tell the stories is another matter entirely.

The Sundial Acolytes are a tight-knit group and were often found together even before Ignis broke the Acolytes away from the Squalls. Korgu is particularly fond of Aster and Imona and can often be found talking to them, recording Beastclan history from Aster's many foundlings or magical methods and geological discoveries from Imona.

While she also checks in with Thayn to keep track of the alchemist's various experiments, the skydancer and the spiral aren't the best of friends. Thayn feels the spiral is too flighty and lacks the necessary dedication of a scholar despite respecting her past work. Korgu thinks that the skydancer is too uptight and has never learned to enjoy her work despite accepting that Thayn's methods produce good results.

Ultimately, Korgu, like the rest of the Acolytes, is directly answerable to Ignis who keeps tabs on what projects each of the Acolytes are working on. Decisions that affect the entire group, however, are dealt with democratically.
