Jesper

Jesper doesn't talk much about his past before he met Nephrite, but he does say that he worked as a mercenary. So it's not surprising that he would end up on the security team for the Wavecrest Saturnalia. While there, he developed a fondness for the younger imperial but the two lost touch after the Saturnalia. It would be over a year before Jesper tracked down his friend and moved in with the Summer Squalls.

Jesper stayed with the Squalls for several months, diving into cartography and studying the skill first by reading in Ignis' library and later through practice. He and Nephrite would take long trips to different areas of Sornieth so that the skydancer could practice different types of terrain.

When Nephrite announced he would be starting a performing troupe that would travel Sornieth, Jesper volunteered to join him, if Nephrite could teach him skills needed for entertaining. Nephrite agreed and the mercenary turned cartographer set to work adding another skill to his already impressive set: acting.

Although Jesper is not the best actor yet, he is highly dedicated and shows enough agility and coordination that Nephrite thinks he could be skilled someday.
