This is a casual exalting lair. If I bought something for under 10k, and it doesn't have a familiar, then it's probably on its way out. I'm happy to return it if asked.

At the turn of a new era, the portion of the Strand that Clan Cygnus claimed, was overtaken by a peculiar event. The magenta hues and luminescent blues of the woods faded. A heavy mist rolled in, and the sky crackled with a growing storm.

With everything alight in shades of cyan, the scholars of Clan Cygnus scrambled to determine the cause. But it wouldn't be long, before they got their answer. From the looming storm clouds above, fell a dragon unlike any they'd seen.

He spoke in a voice that boomed like thunder and whispered like the whir of electricity all at once. Although regarded at first as a threat, he was able to convince Caphir of his benevolence.

The dragon spoke of his own clan, broken and fragmented, hidden away, and in need of refuge. Despite his hesitance to speak of what had seemingly decimated their numbers and led them to flee, the dragons of Clan Cygnus sympathised.

When at last Caphir agreed to accommodate them, the stranger's remaining family descended from the thunderhead, showing just how few in number they were.

Although welcome, the Lightning clan's presence ensures a nebulous cyan haze, and small storm or cloud cover. As a result, they remain mostly to themselves at a distance, while they huddle together and attempt to recuperate.

The scholars of Clan Cygnus don't begrudge them for the storm. Instead, Caphir's ambition to relocate their research facility to the Observatory, grows only stronger.

Founded in the Starwood Strand, Clan Cygnus is made up of misfits. From every corner of Sornieth, whether outcasts, simple nomads passing through, or victims of circumstance, they gather.

At first, it was only Caphir and his long-time partner, Beid. They didn't want to make a name for themselves. They only wanted a place for themselves. For a time, they lived a modest life. Caphir kept to his studies. Beid honed her skills, and fought deep in the forest. Through it all, they supported each other, and aimed higher.

As time went on, along with Caphir's ambitions to expand his knowledge of the stars and Arcanist above, their settlement grew. With each new addition, the clan strengthened. Soon there were more and more scholars aiding Caphir's research, and more teeth and claws to add to Beid's ranks to keep them safe.

Although Clan Cygnus is home to a number of academics and scientists, it includes a diverse population within its walls. Over time, it became known as a refuge for those without a safe place to call their own.
