Maybe a Gene called Soulfire, which gives a glowing look to the mouths of dragons and maybe to details such as the scales of the underbelly and the rib area, and on pearlcatchers, this would also affect the color of the pearl.

I actually placed some responses on a "nebula" or "galaxy" primary and secondary set (namely, how it wouldn't be suitable, sadly) but came up with an idea of maybe making a spacey overlay tert if not a constellation one. so nice to see it's in the tert forums :D
this is [i]way[/i] more simplified than id like but for 5 mins can u blame me. anyway, it would have a base color, like indigo/sapphire in this example, a light color to shape out luminous areas of the nebula, a dark color to add contrast and dimension, an a starlight color.

How about Paradox? In snakes, a "paradox" is an animal with patches of color it shouldn't have - an albino with patches of regular snake pattern, for example
