@ZenithNadir
I would love to be added to the ping list please. I have many in the color range that would work for mates.

@ZenithNadir I would like to register Ithildin's babies please. Their father, Cassius, was exalted to the Arcanist. Willing to take back any dragons you've received from me!
[center][b]Announcement - Dawnguard Registration Template[/b][/center] As the Dawnguard family tree grows larger, the directory of registered Dawnguard dragons will expand along with it. Any Dawnguard dragon that meets the requirements laid out under the Project's rules may be added to the directory, which will serve as a showcase for the dragons in the family and will be updated frequently as new members are added to their ranks. However, updating and maintaining the directory, which is located in the second post of the thread, is a time-intensive process, and will become more so as the project grows and more dragons are born. For this reason, I ask that you use the template provided in the "Resources" post (the third post on the front page) when you would like your dragon to be added to the Directory. Doing so will allow me to copy and paste the required information from the template directly into the BBCode of the Directory post, with no additional formatting required. Because the template makes use of BBCode, I am making this post to show an example of how to use the template, to hopefully minimize confusion for anyone who is less familiar with BBCode or has not done this type of image coding before. I will complete an example using my Founder, Apollon (ID number 32679752): [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=32679752] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/326798/32679752_350.png[/img] [/url][/center] The Dawnguard Registration Template looks like this - note that you will have to scroll all the way over in order to see the full code. [code][code][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=DRAGON ID NUMBER][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/FIRST SIX DIGITS OF ID NUMBER WITH THE LAST DIGIT ROUNDED UP/DRAGON ID NUMBER.png[/img][/url][/ code][/code] To fill out the template, place the ID number of your Dawnguard dragon wherever you see the words "DRAGON ID NUMBER." For the portion of the template that begins "FIRST SIX DIGITS," you will use the first five digits of your dragon's ID number, and then round the sixth digit up by one. For Apollon in this example, his ID number is 32679752, and the rounded-up portion of his first six digits is 326798. In addition, at the end of the template, there is a portion that reads [/ code]. In order to make the template function, you will have to remove the backslash yourself so that it reads [/code]. The template will not work unless this is done! Here is what the template looks like when filled out for Apollon: [code][code][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=32679752][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/326798/32679752.png[/img][/url][/ code][/code] When you paste this into a forum post and ping me, I will be able to copy and paste this code directly to produce a tiny, clickable image that will self-update whenever your dragon's appearance changes, the same way that the large BBCode images do: [center][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=32679752][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/326798/32679752.png[/img][/url][/center]
Announcement - Dawnguard Registration Template

As the Dawnguard family tree grows larger, the directory of registered Dawnguard dragons will expand along with it.

I will complete an example using my Founder, Apollon (ID number 32679752):

The Dawnguard Registration Template looks like this - note that you will have to scroll all the way over in order to see the full code.
Code:
[code][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=DRAGON ID NUMBER][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/FIRST SIX DIGITS OF ID NUMBER WITH THE LAST DIGIT ROUNDED UP/DRAGON ID NUMBER.png[/img][/url][/ code]

To fill out the template, place the ID number of your Dawnguard dragon wherever you see the words "DRAGON ID NUMBER." For the portion of the template that begins "FIRST SIX DIGITS," you will use the first five digits of your dragon's ID number, and then round the sixth digit up by one.

Here is what the template looks like when filled out for Apollon:
Code:
[code][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=32679752][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/326798/32679752.png[/img][/url][/ code]

When you paste this into a forum post and ping me, I will be able to copy and paste this code directly to produce a tiny, clickable image that will self-update whenever your dragon's appearance changes, the same way that the large BBCode images do:

I generally won't use the Hatchling Pinglist for announcements, so apologies in advance for doing so! However, this announcement is an important update, particularly since Ithildin has had a clutch and Apollon's first nest will be hatching around the middle of next week.

One of the things I like doing with family tree projects is keeping an updated directory of the family tree's members, so that players can take a quick look at the existing members all in one place. As the family tree expands, the Directory post will get larger along with it.

Since the Directory is embedded directly into the thread's coding, though, I am the only person who can update it. I do my best to keep the directories of my family tree projects updated, but it takes time and it's easy for registration requests to get lost in the shuffle. I decided to try something different for this project since it's still in its early stages, and created a Dawnguard Registration Template to add to the list of resources in the second post. The post before this one (at the bottom of page 11) contains detailed information on how to use the template, as well as an example of what it will look like when filled out properly.

I've already registered Ithildin's clutch in the Directory as the first Generation One hatchlings, but I request that future registrations be requested by filling out this template and pinging me in the thread so that I can list your dragon. The request should be made by the person who purchases the dragon, to prevent unsold or exalted dragons from going into the directory by mistake.

One last note - once a dragon is added to the Directory, it will probably not be removed even if the dragon is exalted; it's difficult for me to go into the code and remove them, since the lines start to run together after a while and finding specific dragons is a bit tricky. So there might be exalted dragons in the directory! It's okay if you don't keep your Dawnguard forever - preferences change, dragons get sold and resold, lair space needs to be made, et cetera. You all get the drill! But I do ask that you only request me to list your dragon if you're fairly confident that you will be keeping it, for at least a while. You don't have to tell me if you exalt a dragon from the Directory, and all of these dragons are yours to do whatever you wish with, in accordance with the Code of Conduct! But it'll help keep the Directory from getting cluttered with exalted dragons. You're also welcome to resell Dawnguard dragons through this thread, if you decide you don't want them anymore and would prefer not to exalt.

Apologies for the long word dump, and if you have questions about the template or about the directory, please let me know! I'll be happy to answer them.
