head in my hands time flies i was still in high school when i first joined this site omg. today marks the day my account was made in 2015. so i figured i'd show a favorite for each year i spent on site! My madoka magica were the very first thing i wanted to do as soon as i got my account. Nothing else mattered to me in that moment I had places to go and hyperfixations to manifest. First dragon to hit lv25 and my most deadly of my two trainers to this day! 2016: Kanan [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/25961497][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/259615/25961497_350.png[/img][/url] Hard to believe she started off as a poi/tox/ub fodder rescue! Now she is my prized possession and i love her to bits. Even though i've long fallen out of love with the source material she's a fandragon of, i wouldn't trade her away for anything in the world. Besides, this was the era where i was rich enough to afford art and adopts of my favorites in their bios! Did you know that one night i dreamt i exalted this girl and it made me panic so badly that i turned on my pc in the middle of the night to check if she was still there- anyways just like kanan i don't keep up with the series she's from but you'd have to throw hands with me to take her from my lair. 2018: Yaguul [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/47994467][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/479945/47994467_350.png[/img][/url] Random impulse NotN hatch that changed my life. That year i started doing yearly birthday hatches for myself but Yaguul actually stole the spotlight from the hatch i had that year and looks even better. oops. Sometimes i have people message me to ask me to sell him and every time i get to wave my finger and go "nuh huh!! so sorry!" 2019: Bergamot [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/56360660][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/563607/56360660_350.png[/img][/url] The year before i started doing yearly birthday hatches. THIS fine specimen is where it truly takes off. I remember crying my eyes out during that blossom tert grind. it was diabolical, heinous even. I'm still trying out new things with his primary and secondary to have them show matching accents. But that blossom tert? After all i went through i'm not taking this thing off. 2020: Velkhana [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/66074367][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/660744/66074367_350.png[/img][/url] I started playing monster hunter during lockdown and it altered my brain irreversibly. I think it's adorable that the ice monster fandragon is born on christmas day. I think about it every day. I hope the person who sold her to me is doing well, we had a nice chat! 2021: Flandre [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/70000181][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/700002/70000181_350.png[/img][/url] This is the part where the touhou hyperfixation hit me like a freight train. Genuinely my most expensive specimen i have and it's not even a contest. She's a g1 i gened up myself, two whole gem genes, gem apparel, AND especially that retired accent i had to turn my wallet inside out for. This is the part where i wish i had the dedication of my younger self to commission adopts of her but alas times change </3 2022: Gengetsu [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/77751829][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/777519/77751829_350.png[/img][/url] There she is. My prime nepo baby. My all time favorite, the prize winner, everything. She's not even a g1 she isn't that valuable by FR standards but she's a fandragon of my biggest comfort character (as you can tell by my username hiiii) and that makes her priceless to ME and ME ONLY. I so desperately want a custom UMA for her and her twin sister it's not even funny anymore. All the way in 2015. That i'd hatch a double, with matching eyes, of one of the most sought after colors on site, i would think you're pulling my leg. And yet whimsy exists. my xyx midnight/iris. I cherish him with everything i have. This dude wins, every other g1 in my lair has to go home. 2024: Gaia [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/98265585][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/982656/98265585_350.png[/img][/url] FFXIV go brrrrrr anyways. Self hatched little project i had going on because i [i]refused[/i] to buy a pharaoh scroll all by myself again. I had freshly escaped the gem hell that was Whimsy i could [i]Not[/i] do this again that soon after. So i decided to hatch the gal myself! And she came out amazing! Now all i want for her is a really nice accent that fits her character and she'll be done :)c 2025 isn't finished yet, there's a lot to look forward to! maybe my favorite doesn't exist yet, who knows what they'll look like! happy ten year anniversary!! i think my fave of your batch is Yaguul, i love thhose antlers on him and his whole look with a fun mix of notn apparel is great. and i love seeing notn dragons who are actually noctunes haha..underrated breed C: and omg his personality too, scary dragons that are actually sweet is the best! also shoutout to Whimsy, what an incredibly fun shadow creature omggg. perfect aether for sure. omg i joined in september 2016..can't believe it's been almost 9 years for me...let's see 2016: Falcata [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/27656884][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/276569/27656884_350.png[/img][/url] He was one of the first dragons I ever bought and I just will always love him so much haha..I haven't done much with him in years and probably isn't a dragon I would pick out today, but he still has a special place in my heart c: 2017: Ingot [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/30393855][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/303939/30393855_350.png[/img][/url] Ingot! She was my first mirror! When I first joined I didn't really like mirrors, but she turned that around for me pretty quickly haha. Love her colors and I think mirror lore can be fun to work with too! 2018: Kaydeross [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/44381136][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/443812/44381136_350.png[/img][/url] 2018 doesn't feel as solidly memorable a year to me but I think Kaydeross is a standout c: I was really enjoying tapir at the time, and she helped show me some love for the color Metals and the gene Opal, neither of which were my favorites but I thought worked perfectly on her. I was excited to get to use the scar apparel too, I think everything just came together for her! 2019: Malbaith [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/57393510][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/573936/57393510_350.png[/img][/url] 2019! The year ancients came out!! I had such mixed feelings on ancients at the time, and honestly still do, but Banescales really grew on me and I still consider them my favorite ancient with my love for them just getting strongest every year haha. and Malbraith was a big help with that, the perfect swamp dragon and the exact gen 1 I had wanted c: I didn't hatch her but was lucky that the person who did didn't want her haha..quickly snatched her up. 2020: Dare [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/59604705][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/596048/59604705_350.png[/img][/url] Dare was a fun project, that ended up not being such a project after all! My all time favorite album is Dare by the Human League and at one point I made a scry and figured I would have to get started on a breeding project. I checked the AH every so often without much luck for even finding dragons I would want as parents, but then one day, there she was..born in Leap Day no less! I didn't have to breed at all, the dragon with the right colors just fell into my lap haha. Just needed a tundra scroll and a couple genes. And she already had the jaguar! my plan was for a Basic primary but I thought the Jaguar was fun so I kept it 2021: Skunk [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/73710183][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/737102/73710183_350.png[/img][/url] I thought this was gonna be another hard year since I couldn't really remember anything particularly happening, but omg Skunk <3!!!! This is her year. I was trying to collect tundras whose Measurements were the highest/lowest in each category and a kind user helped me out and gave me this dragon, the heaviest possible tundra. and she is so perfect to me. I'm in love with her Orca Tiger and Eel and Runes on tundras are some of my fave genes, she's just so perfect for me haha 2022: Betony [effect dragon=75174922] 2022..a good year for aberrations c: Betony is my favorite one! I spent some time finding the exact dragon I wanted to make Polkadots work and I even tried my hand making my first and only custom accent for them haha. i just needed an abby who was the life of the party! 2023: DiamondCertified [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/88333457][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/883335/88333457_350.png[/img][/url] and now, the year of Aethers c: I was super excited that we finally got dragons with extra arms, and aethers were instant faves for me. (Banescales may be my most favorite ancient, but aethers aren't far behind either haha). my friend made a breeding pair and I got this guy from them and also a really fun accent too..perfect little colorful bug thing haha 2024: Aglais [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/98946234][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/989463/98946234_350.png[/img][/url] and another exciting ancient release to end on..my girl Aglais! Everlux were absolutely something I'd been hoping for with ancients since their inception tbh and I'm so happy they exist now and I'm really happy with how Aglais came out! Everlux really got some of the best genes to come out i think c:

I almost did, but he just manages to worm his way back into my heart and into my perma tabs. 2016: Wavern [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/23728972][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/237290/23728972_350.png[/img][/url] Turns out I had no 2016 permas, but this lady had been in my sale tab for MONTHS with no bites. She's pretty, so... mayhaps against my better judgement, I have decided to keep her! She's currently a Guardian, but if you peek into her bio you will see she has the potential to absolutely SLAP as an Everlux! I will need to correct this lol[/s] Went through the AH and found a bunch of 2017 dragons. I only have two 2019 dragons and I love them both. Ultimately I chose Nox because I've had him longer, and his colours are so dang cool. But I think [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/50212981]Morningstar[/url] is still worth a mention! 2020: StarsetWaves [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/64395510][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/643956/64395510_350.png[/img][/url] A project dragon I bred myself, I've held onto him since with no intentions of letting him go. Iirc Silhouette Scrolls came out now long before I completed this project so that was a saving grace for me, as I always wanted the M-pose but the actual in-game gender function was irrelevant. 2021: Cetacean [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/74680868][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/746809/74680868_350.png[/img][/url] Note: has the effect, Sheen, applied This wasn't a difficult choice at all, I admit. I hatched Cetacean myself, gened him up within the month (I think maybe even within the week lol), and then realized I had a similarly-coloured G1 already in my lair, [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/68380090]Salvinia[/url]. This spurred on a G1 collection I still engage in to this day. If I ever had to reduce my lair down to 1 dragon, this would be the guy I'd keep. 2022: Acutorostrata [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/83197529][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/831976/83197529_350.png[/img][/url] This was another hard choice, in part because I have a cute level 25 I think doesn't get enough love - [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/81863411]Curacao[/url] - but also because I have a lot of G1s from my aforementioned collection that are from this year. I ended up choosing Acutorostrata for a few reasons - he's the first dragon I ever used Points on, it was fun complimenting his Light eyes with apparel, and he's one of the few dragons in my lair with art! 2023: [i]Unnamed[/i] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/84573816][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/845739/84573816_350.png[/img][/url] Another hard choice. I ended up choosing one of my G1 collection faves, and I narrowed my choice down to this guy a friend of mine scattered and was kind enough to sell to me. I really loved putting their outfit together, one of the only times I've used one of the gas masks from the achievement shop. Maybe one day... For a bonus: I wasn't here in 2013, but I [i]do[/i] have a 2013 dragon! Gaia is 10/10. also that's a perfect accent for Flandre 2022: Camlann Camlann is one of the "big six," i.e. the first six dragons I bought off AH in my first week of playing. His outfit's pretty basic, but I like the multiple swords and the overall vibe. I got him a dunk toy for nocmas last year. Around a month after the aether release, I snagged Cosmo as a triple basic hatchling off the fodder floor. I have a bunch of impulse aether projects from around that time, but Cosmo is my fav (and started a tradition of making triple basic and/or g2 ancient fodder saves into projects with every ancient release). Happy anniversary!! Time certainly does fly, I canNOT believe 2015 was ten years ago already oh my gosh 2021: Sycamore [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/68329082][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/683291/68329082_350.png[/img][/url] My random progen, whom I started out with a very love/hate relationship with. Perfect forest dragon colors, but the exact hues are some of the most difficult to work with colors on site. A mirror, which I utterly despised when I joined. Those stark white eyes clashing with his forest-like colors, making me regret not just joining in Nature. I didn't like him. But, I kept him around. He has an extensive breed history (he's been from mirror > fae > mirror > skydancer > mirror again) and I've probably spent more gems on him than any other dragon in my lair. And over time, I just... slowly started to like him. Then, love him. Then absolutely adore him. His lore as a character finally started to fall in place as I worked with him, and soon he took even the place of my once beloved custom progen. He's still one of my absolute favorites. 2022: Honour [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/81471506][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/814716/81471506_350.png[/img][/url] A hatch from a pair of very beloved lore dragons of mine, and a descendant of my progens. I kind of just fell in love with Honour and her brother, especially her, instantly for some reason. I was able to immediately think of lore for her, an outfit, got her a bunch of art, adored her even though at that time her colors generally wouldn't have been my thing. She's still very special to me. 2023: Roku [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/84093123][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/840932/84093123_350.png[/img][/url] Long after I came to be at peace, and in fact love, Mirrors, Ridgebacks were still the one breed I despised. I desperately wanted to like them, but everything I tried to change my mind failed; even when attempting to get a couple of my own, they ended up back on the auction house weeks later. Everything changed when I saw Roku. Something about her, I just adored instantly. I adopted her from a lineage thread as a hatchling and everything about her just fell into place at once. For the first time, I genuinely adored and wanted a ridgeback, and didn't even think of changing it to anything else. To this day she's still probably my favorite dragon, and one of my biggest comfort dragons. 2024: The Little Prince [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/92061582][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/920616/92061582_350.png[/img][/url] The perfect fandragon I found for my absolute favorite story, one that really helped me through the difficulties of last year. This book is near and dear to my heart and so is the dragon I found to represent it, whom was my absolute biggest pride and joy all throughout the year. He'll always have a special place in my heart alongside the story he's based upon.

The first art piece I ever commissioned was for her. I gave her lore and her own hatchery. She is the progenitor to my current aesthetic and lore. She kickstarted my gen one obsession. The color coordination of the accent colors remains one of my favorites to this day. My all time favorite. Komodon is my first first fleshed out lore dragon. Host is the second, and until this day she remains the last. I stumbled across it by accident. It's my favorite name in my entire lair. Pesukaru holds a special place in my heart and I even wrote her a poem. She's a type of trickster spirit. In Dutch there was no word for touch starved, until the lockdown. Huidhonger was invented it translates literally to skin hunger.
