Yes, the genes are meant to resemble the subtle markings on Toothless and the Light Fury. Abyss was also used to sort of respresent TL’s slight hint of colour in the first movie (Like, he’s not stark black, but sort of bluish as well?)

Thanks for noticing Frieren! She used to be a wildclaw I wasn't sure what to do with, but kept around for sentimental reasons - then I got into the series and absolutely had to make a fandragon, so she became a pearlcatcher (mostly for the elf ears, and the whiskers remind me of her hairstyle), and she's currently leveling as a coli mage. It's been a bit of a journey for her, haha.

Oh my goodness, your madoka magica dragons are SO PRETTY!!!! I've never considered fan dragons before but all of yours are SO COOL and inspires me to want to start creating my own. I hope you have a lovely day <3
