Hello Flight Rising Forum Pages!

I go by Sour, I'm 18, I use soooo many pronouns (check mains in my lair bio pls!) and I'm in LOVE with this game so far. I was a Neopets and Petpet Park kid when I was younger and I LOVE dragons so so much. I'm really surprised I didn't find this game sooner!! My friend actually introduced me to it. I've been hyperfixating for days lol.

It was k!ller timing that I started playing too! I LOVE the Auraboros and am in love with the two I hatched. Also super excited for the first festival I get to take a part in.

I doubt anyone will see this but if any more experienced players do, I have a question. Best tips for a newbie?

If you feed dragons daily, you get more gathering turns! [*][emoji=treasure size=1] If you want to make more in-game currency, I suggest looking into training a [emoji=coliseum team size=1] coliseum dragon. You can ask on your own flight's forum topic for dragon-lending services, so people can lend you a higher lvl dragon and so you can use that one in a team to grind levels on your progens or your own dragons. If you do breed your progens or dear dragons, please [b]name[/b] the offspring something you can look at in the future and not be annoyed. Some people use song lyrics or quotes or themes to name the offspring, which can be really cool! [*][emoji=money bag size=1] Don't buy everything you want from the marketplace: look at the auction house for possible cheaper options! Tbh, some items are more expensive on the auction house, so do compare some of the prices :P [*][emoji=new friend size=1] Don't sell hatchlings for less than 4g (you can get max 5g for a baby fodder) and don't sell adult dragons for less than 5g (you can get max 7g for an adult fodder). (Really pretty lineage + lore dragons in hatcheries can go for ~50g!) You cannot sell your progens, only exalt them. Exalting is the equivalent of 'k;lling', but more pg. You can get your exalted progens back at any time and also 1 exalted non-progen dragon per 3 months, but you need to pay treasure for restoring the dragons. [*]Don't go against the FR policies? It definitely stacks up though, so if you have the energy I'd recommend learning how to through the guide linked above and playing some hard more fairground each day ^^ [emoji=treasure size=1] For more profit than that you'd have to: [emoji=treasure size=1] [LIST] [*][emoji=coliseum team size=1] [b]Play some coliseum and sell the drops there on the auction house.[/b] (eggs, runestones and swipp items tend to go for quite a sum!) Personally I think the [b]ghostlight ruins[/b] is quite quick to train in and the items from there are cute in a shadow/arcane way ^^ [*][emoji=cauldron size=1] [b]Melt items you don't need[/b] at [b][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/trading/baldwin]baldwin's bubbling brew[/url][/b] on the trading post and sell those items on the auction house. (the baldwin materials you get from baldwin vary in rarity and price, so check the auction house for that: you can often sell them for gems as well on the auction house!) This is a reliable passive income source, though you cannot melt stacks and have to check in once a while to melt a new item. It does work with 30-min intervals though and is thus compatible with The Pomodoro Technique, which is a very efficient study method! [*][emoji=eliminate size=1] [b]Level cheap fodder dragons in the mire with a lvl 25 mire trainer[/b]! The mire is a high lvl venue for quickest lvl grinding but due to the amount of players levelling fodder there the items are worth a lot less than those in the ghostlight ruins and other high lvl venues. Fodder dragons can be obtained from breeding cheap fodder dragons or can be bought at ~7000 treasure on the Auction house. You can exalt them to your deity at lvl 6-7: lvl 6 is the most efficient profit-wise, but some level dragons to lvl 8 for more profit/dragon. This will give you treasure (see how much [url=https://flightrising.fandom.com/wiki/Exalting_Dragons]on the Flight rising Wiki[/url])! This works best if you change the coliseum settings in the coliseum to correspond to the WASD(+QE) keys and keep the battlestone order similar for your fighter dragons: Over time coli can be more automated and you can then play coliseum while watching a series in the evening, or even while reading papers or a book on the side. (If you are reading papers I do recommend having multiple food stacks in your hoard already, as the focus will lead to many defeats in the coliseum and thus more need to feed your fighter!) [*][emoji=gold crown size=1] If there is a dominance battle going on that week, (A good pinglist is the one linked [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/3262584/1#post_54783816]here[/url]) you could check if they have an[b] OOFR (out-of-flight-raffle) or a public buy[/b]: The flight will buy dragons from you then and especially outside of holidays they may pay more (treasure OR gems!) than the price you get for exalting dragons! [*][emoji=dna size=1] I don't do this due to keeping a no-breeding-lair, but [b]you could make a lot of profit with breeding too[/b], but it requires consistent passive play (I have seen people keep spreadsheets for a very streamlined process or just wing it but idk how to actually put it into practice) and you'll also have to come up with a fun/unique/desirable hatchery theme: [LIST] [*]If you have an open nest in your nesting grounds, get a pair of breedable dragons from the auction house (check their compatibility [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/scrying]here[/url]) and breed them. You do have to check in 1x each day to incubate the nest! [*]6 days later you can sell their hatchlings 5kt a piece, or train and exalt hatchlings for more profit. [*]If you do this a few weeks, you can expand your nesting grounds and dragon lair a bit with the money and then rotate breeding pairs. [*]When you have enough funds after a few months, you could get prettier and unique breeding pairs that you can write lore for (making your dragon lineage interesting and compatible with certain clan aesthetics that are popular) and set up a hatchery where you could sell your hatchlings for more treasure or gems. [/LIST] [*][emoji=familiar heart size=1] [b]Familiar bonding nets you 15-50 treasure per familiar[/b] (I think, not 100% sure on that) and bonding for 3 months or so on certain familiars might get you small rewards. One familiar isn't too profitable, but if you bond hundreds consistently, the amount stacks up! Familiars can be obtained through the coliseum, gathering, achievement chops and the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/raf]giveaway forums[/url], and for rare ones you might browse the auction house. [*][emoji=net size=1] [b]Gathering could also be profitable[/b], but I'm not too clear on how since I mostly just let it all sit in my hoard XD Some rare/swpp/baldwin items from gathering can be sold for a neat amount! Tbh, not 100% clear on which ones, but the most rare items or items needed for desirable genes and swipp are most profitable! Welcome to Flight Rising, @s0urgr33n! My biggest tip would be to avoid hoard-selling anything, there's no inventory limit and some things randomly become useful in the future! There's much better ways to make treasure, as the power before me described. Check values of familiars and apparel before tossing them into Baldwin, and be aware that some random egg hatches may be WAY more valuable than you'd expect! If someone messages you out of the blue to offer on a dragon, ask an experienced player their opinion on the dragon's value before agreeing to sell!

Also, you don't need to (and probably shouldn't) censor words using symbol substitutions. If it's an allowed word, it could make it hard for screen readers to read your post, and if it's not allowed the censor can be interpreted as intentionally trying to dodge moderation. As far as "die" and "kill" and such are concerned... this is a real enemy: Colony Killer

Some tips(might be repetitive of the above posts, but yeah):
- Breeding your dragons so you have fodder to sell or exalt.(On what the above post said about not breeding your progens, go ahead and do it because you can't sell your progens, so it won't decrease their value or anything, and you can always choose to just ignore it in your lore. Plus, when you're just starting, they're gonna be some of the only dragons you have for hatching fodder or other dragons to sell, so go for the profit if you don't care about Lineages).
- A great way to make currency is the coliseum. If you're interested in the coli, definitely check out Rent-A-Pleg(pinned in the Plague forums) and get a Mire Flyer to use in the Mire for leveling. To start, I recommend having 1 fodder and 1 dragon of your own(a perma) on your team along with the Mire Flyer, that way you can exalt and earn treasure while also leveling up your own level 25 for after you're done renting(I recommend building it into a Mire Flyer too). Make sure you check out the Dom Watch so you know what's coming up.
If you do go the coli route, try to expand your lair as quickly as you can because the more fodder storage you have, the more you can exalt, and the more money you can make to spend on dragons and stuff. I will say grinding in coli can get boring after a while, but it's probably the best way to make treasure.
(Btw fodder is cheap dragons you buy to exalt, and exalting basically deletes the dragon from the game(you can get it back for a price)- exalting gives you treasure. Some people don't like exalting, but I recommend doing it.)
- Bond with your familiars. After a while, they'll give you treasure chests.
- Other ways of getting currency are the Fairgrounds and Baldwin's. Max out the fairgrounds as much as you can(up to 75kt a day) by using Glimmer and Gloom on very hard or hard mode(here's a G&G guide for hard and very hard).). Always be melting in Baldwin's, then sell the products in the AH, until you get to a high enough level to create more expensive things like Bogsneak eggs or Imbued Sulfur.(you can get to Baldwin's by going to the Trading Post).
- The AH is a great way to earn money by selling items/dragons. You can either hoardsell(taking the useless items from your hoard and selling them at the lowest AH price for profit) or you can do what I said above and melt in Baldwin's and sell those in the AH(this will typically give you more money). I'd only hoardsell if you really don't want to do Baldwin's, and for things like eggs
- Also, you can buy Rockbreaker's Ceremony items and sell them a little higher with the opposite currency on the AH for other people who don't have fest currency or treasure.
