My favorite build: JusticeTurtle's Ghostbuster
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Why I like it: I prefer the training rate for Ghostlight Ruins over the Mire, which is the typical venue for training two fodder. Also, since I spend so much time here, rarer drops become significant. All the more expensive battle stones drop here. Also, I think the familiars that drop on Ghostlight Runes are cute, so I don't mind always having a bunch of them.

Favorite Starter Build: Culex's Mire Flyer
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Why I like it: The guide to train and use this dragon is the best guide I've found on this entire website. It's clear, easy to understand, easy to follow. I highly recommend it to new players. (This link also has instructions for a build for Kelp Beds with one fodder, and for Golem Workshop with no fodder.)

Alternates and Variations

Alternate for Ghostlight Ruins: Lamentations' Meditate Monk
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Details: Uses a Meditate instead of Scratch to build breath. Also has a build for doing the same with a Mire dragon.

Alternate for Ghostlight Ruins: Salamanderpie's Anticitank
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Details: Uses an Anticipate instead of Scratch to build breath.

Alternate for Mire: Brokenstone's Mire Flyer Revamped
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Details: Similar to the Mire Flyer, but changes the stats around a bit.

Alternate for Mire: Cerf's AnticiFlyer
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder
Details: Uses an Anticipate instead of Scratch to build breath.

Mixing it Up
...for when you're tired of Mire and Ghostlight Ruins

For Harpy's Roost: Redfoot's Build
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder

For Crystal Pools: Redfoot's Build
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use a single dragon of this build to train two fodder

For Golem Workshop: Celelorien's Workshop Workers
Type: Glass Cannon and Mage
Fodder: Yes, use these two dragons to train a single fodder

For Forbidden Portal: JazzyLynx's Portal Assassin Trainers
Type: Glass Cannon and Mage
Fodder: Yes, use these two dragons to train a single fodder

Two Other Notable Builds

The Tank: Hummbirds' Tank Build
Type: Tank
Fodder: Yes, use with a mage (Re: Culex or Celelorien) to train a single fodder
Notes: A fun weird build for when you want to try a tank for some reason. Can be used in any venue.

The Cheap Build: EeveeDream's Sedona Build
Type: Glass Cannon
Fodder: Yes, use with a mage (Re: Culex or Celelorien) to train a single fodder
Notes: A build to use without an eliminate, which is the most expensive battle stone. Another great one for beginners, or anyone who just doesn't want to spend that much money.
