Deep within the infamous Paine Woods, an old, worn down bunker hides in the trees. Moonlight seeps through the leaves, threatening to reveal its hiding spot. This building hasn't seen anyone in a long, long time.

A group of flashlights dance around, a crunching of dried leaves. These high school students have trekked through these woods in the dead of this crisp, fall night in search of this very building. If only they knew what was in wait for them... The woods seemed to be holding its breath in anticipation.

Tracy | Paine Woods, Outside Bunker | Interactions: Other Students, Open
Tracy held her flashlight loosely in her hand. Around her, she heard the familiar crunching that she had been hearing for the past hour– the crunching of leaves that announced the location of the other students that were traveling with her. It felt good to hear a familiar sound in the middle of the dark forest, but at the same time… She shined her flashlight around again. She wished something else would happen. Paine Woods was so eerily quiet… It was like the whole forest was holding its breath.

As she shined her flashlight ahead of her again, the light reflected off of something up ahead. It was faint, but it was just enough for her bored eyes to notice. That better be what I think it is… She thought. Boy, was she tired of walking…
Webcrawler (CA-1) | A-Wing Hallway | Interactions: Open
The emotions of humans still eluded him. This heavy, unbearable feeling that lingered deep inside of him was one of them, and it had taunted him for years. Ever since all of the humans were dead. Ever since he no longer had anything to hunt. It made him restless. His sharp claws gripped into the small holes in the ceiling as he dragged his tall, lanky body along, on his way to another wing. His wings grazed over a dried splatter of blood, the webbed-up body that it had belonged to since torn to shreds. He had hunted smaller monsters in the past, and it helped to satiate this feeling weighing him down… if only for a bit. It did not help that a lot of the monsters did not bleed. Still, he had to do something about this bloodlust… maybe something new would happen for the monster…

Josie/The Tamer (CX-5)|X-Wing Hallway|Interactions: Max/The Beast

Josie roamed the hallway he and Max had staked out as their own. He could tell that the Beast, even though he would never deign to call him that, was growing restless from the sight of the same halls. It was frustrating, for certain. Josie hissed, low in his throat, but swallowed his anger, not wanting Max to pick up on it and act out.

No, they needed to be patient. Patience pays off, after all...

I roleplay too much-
Gateway (CZ-37) - Z-Wing - interaction : open

They were floating on the surface of the water, boredom and lonliness had made their home in every part of their brain a long time ago yet they were growing restless. There was little to nothing left to do now that the humans were gone, sure they didnt missed being experimented on but the others of this floor were offering little in term of interest. Gateway flicked it's tail in anoyance, causing ripples across the flodded hallway, the neaded to find somthing to do soon, otherwhise they may very well turn as unhinge as those who made them due to lack of stimulation !

Anthony | Paine Woods | Mentions: Tracy | Tags: Open

Anthony listened with half an ear to Nick's hushed jabbering. The situation itself was already terrible enough, what with him having to stay out late just to walk around in the woods with a bunch of idiots. Listening to Nick's rambling about ghosts and other mythical whatever's didn't help.

Flicking his flashlight up from the ground, he saw mostly just trees and brambles, as well as the flickering lights of the others. Briefly he noticed a girl with short hair ahead of him, but she quickly moved out of sight again. Sighing, Anthony continued to move with the group, watching the ground carefully. He pretended not to notice when Nick tripped and ate dirt beside him.

Nick | Paine Woods | Mentions: Chikara | Tags: Open

"This is gonna be so cool!" Nick whisper-shouted as he rushed to keep up with Tony. "I bet there's gonna be so much cool stuff in there when we find it! Hey, hey, if we get into a fight with a ghost, who do you think'll win? My bet's on Chikara. I bet she'd beat the crud out of a ghost if we found one. Oh shoot do you think she can hear me?" He looked around to see if he could find the girl in question, but he couldn't spot her. Reassured, he continued to talk at Tony.

In all honesty, Nick didn't know this group of people all that well. The most he had ever interacted with any of them was brief hand-waves in the halls or a group project in a shared class. The only reason he's even here is because he overheard a couple kids talking about the trip during lunch break and decided to ask. Either way, he's having a great time! And besides, he's got his best bud with him!

Said best bud completely ignored him when he managed to trip and fall in the dirt. "Ow." He said quietly to himself. Quickly getting up as to not fall too far behind, Nick noticed something a ways ahead of him, something metallic and rigid. Some of the others must have noticed it too as they were headed towards it. Did they find it already?

Siribi (CE-2) | E-Wing Hallway | Mentions: Steampunk, Dennis, Cerberus | Tags: Open

Siribi paced quietly up and down the long hallway nearest it's cell. It was quiet here, lonely. Siribi didn't like it here, all by itself. It wanted to leave. It wanted to go visit the big warm metal creature downstairs. It wanted to see if the small hairy thing with lots of legs would let it pet him. It wants to go play with the red animal with three heads. It wouldn't do any of that, though. It was too scared.

The Monsters, the scary ones with big teeth and sharp claws, the ones that looked at it like they wanted to hurt, they were growing more agitated, it could feel it. They were looking for someone to hurt. Someone to kill. It didn't want that to happen to Siribi. So they hid in their lonely hallway.

Occasionally it would hear something get close, so it would run away and hide in it's cell. It would hide under the sheets and blankets it has collected there and hope that whatever it was would go away. It would stay there for hours until it eventually fell asleep. When it woke it would forget that it was hiding and it would leave its cell to wander its hallway once more. It didn't like this. It didn't like having to be afraid of the Monsters. It just hoped it wouldn't last much longer.

Ceiling Creeper (CC-3) | C-Wing | Interaction : Open

Their boney fingers clacked against the scarred ceiling as they paced back and forth, simply thinking. When was the last time this place was seen by a human? Eventually they sat down, watching the front of the wing like a security camera. None of the other monsters have seen anything after the scientists. Most have simply been thriving off of what they could find in the mini-kitchens made for feeding contained monsters scattered througout the place. Though others did have more violent ways.

The creeper shudders at the thought, and began pacing the ceiling again. Perhaps they could wander to the entrance of a different wing, and watch a different monster go about their day. It simply kept going back and forth though, the fellow monsters have built up quite the temper after all. There was no need to test their hunger.

CB-5 | B Hallway

Like always, CB-5 was in the B hallway and was currently playing with some of the dolls that he had that were former scientists. While he was never aggressive towards anyone as long as they didn’t harm him or take away his favorite doll, he wouldn’t end up harming them however, for those who didn’t listen, they had found themselves the victims of a rather frightening transformation that left them as dolls for eternity which had happened to some of the scientists. While the dolls that he had with him all appeared to be male, he would also be waiting for CB-2 who was currently lurking somewhere within the hallway.

Oliver | Paine Woods | Interactions: N/A

Oliver quietly stormed through the woods, fiddling with their flashlight. Anything the group's lights didn't hit was dark, and he jumped at every little rustle or crack. They hated this. They hated it here. Why had they come, anyway?

Oh, right, those guys. And their stupid little dares. They couldn't have said no, not because they wanted to look strong and macho, but because maybe they'd leave them along if they did it. To be honest, Oliver wasn't really sure why they'd picked them to harass, of all people. They definitely weren't the bravest person around-actually, probably the opposite. It's not like they'd said anything about not being scared and they'd decided to dare them to prove a point. But, they did agree to stop getting on their nerves, so...

Oliver was out here in the forest. At night. Alone. Well, not really alone, but what can a bunch of high-schoolers do against a wild dog? Or a cougar? Or a bear? Or creeps in a trailer or something? They were absolutely screwed if anything decided to check out the giant group of vulnerable people. Whatever. Just get there, do a 360, and get-

Snap.

"wHAT THE H*LL IS THAT!?" Oliver shouted. They whirled around to find...

A squirrel. They narrowed their eyes at it, cheeks burning. "Screw you..." they muttered. Well, now everything definitely knew they were here. Cr*p. Oliver stormed away, walking as fast as they could without being at the very front.

Simons | Paine Woods | Interactions: Oliver

Trees, trees, and more trees, that was all that Simons had seen for the past hour or so. And he was getting sick of it. Why did he agree to go out here and stumble aimlessly around in the woods with a bunch of losers again? He blew a raspberry, absently kicking at the dirt and swinging a flashlight in hand. He was pretty sure it was going to run out of batteries judging by its dimming light. Maybe he could switch it out with someone else’s when they weren’t looking...

The teen was torn from his trailing thoughts as a kid walking along beside him decided to scream at something, consequently causing Simons to jump and scream too.

“AGH! Wh- Jesus!” Both of his hands were now clenched around his flashlight, knuckles turning white, “What’s your problem!?”

He would have moved to lightly slap the other’s shoulder but they had already stormed off up and ahead. Simons huffed an annoyed sigh and tried to regain his composure.

Please keep in mind that my logic permit has expired and that the 76th color of the alphabet in the exact time of a parakeet eating a pie in June is equivalent to a giant whale-eating cantaloupe allergic to a chair made out of potato salami held by a sandwich that has beetle hands.
Tracy | Paine Woods | Mentions: Oliver, Simons
The surrounding woods were dead silent. They had been for the past hour, and Tracy had grown accustomed to the intense lack of noise. So, when a couple of her cohorts decided to break the comfort of the familiar quiet with a couple of ear-splitting shouts, she jumped. She snapped her flashlight in that direction, but found that they were pretty far back. Though, some heavy footfalls alerted her to someone approaching a bit behind her, and sure enough– when she searched with her light, she found one of the culprits. Oscar, was that their name? She wasn't sure... she hadn't really taken the time to learn the names of anyone in the group, or anyone at school, really. It didn't matter that much to her what their name was, anyway. If they were a wuss, he should've stayed home.

Her gaze had spent so long looking behind her that she didn't have much time to react when fate placed an object in her path. As her attention returned to the path in front of her, she came face-first with a giant, rusty metal door. She threw her hands out, the two of them hitting the door in an awkward collision that caused a loud clang to reverberate through the quiet woods she was used to. In the shock of the moment, she dropped her flashlight. Biting back a curse, she bent over to search the thin layer of autumn leaves for where it had fallen, trying to follow its small light as a beacon.
