Raihan nodded, turning himself back around to the front. God, he hated this truck. He looked out the window with an annoyed grunt under his breath, watching the grassy plains of trees and bushes turn into fields of different crops. Soon enough, a large farmhouse and a neighboring comfy-looking cabin came into view. Raihan recognized the place from the few times he’d been to Milo’s- usually after a night of drinking and Milo didn’t feel like worrying about him and Leon through the night while they were at their own places.

Soon enough the road broke off to a rocky but well-kept dirt path that led to the cabin. It twisted and turned to avoid a few trees that stayed around the cabin since Milo never had the heart to cut too many down.

The countryside reminded her of Hoenn; The journey that took her through all it's grassy routes and scenic roads. A far cry from Lumoise City, and a lot of spots in Kalos, in general. Mossdeep wasn't hick country, by any means-- but certain spots, away from the space center; they really made someone forget about the city, and responsibilities, and anything troubling in general. Bonnie remembered losing herself for hours, just staring up at the stars. She was zoning out just gazing at them now.

Leon had settled on merely whistling along to the radio as the truck bounced and curved along the dirt road, the man eventually coming to a stop not far from the rustic cabin. He offered a smile to Raihan as he put the truck into park. "See? Told you I remembered the way."

“That’s a first. Last time we almost ended up in Ferrum because you can’t pull a u-ie if your life depended on it.” Raihan responded sarcastically, opening up the door and hopping out. He looked up at the sky for a moment, breathing in the sight. It was colder out in the countryside than it was in the city, and he could see his breath in the air as he talked. He shook out his thoughts and started walking towards the cabin, his feet crunching down on the dirt path.

A few Wooloo and even a couple Dubwool were out and about by the cabin, one of the Wooloo’s even approaching Bonnie when she got out. Raihan didn’t notice though, and kept walking.

Leon scoffed as he pushed open his own door, taking out the key before stepping down from the driver's side. "Well, maybe you should just get a taxi then, instead of relying on me for a free lift." Unlike the other two, he seemed disinterested in the dazzling array of stars that stretched out above them, and started towards the cabin alongside Raihan.

Bonnie trailed a little bit behind, enjoying the chillier temperature that managed to seep through her jacket. It was pleasant. Her attention shifted down to the small, fluffy Pokemon that approached her unprompted-- a wooloo. She bent down at the waist and held out her hand for the little critter to sniff; she never tried to pet a Pokemon-- wild or not-- without making sure it was okay with them first.

The wooloo sniffed her hand before baaing at her and trotting back to the mighty Dubwool standing rather far away. The Dubwool was patterned mostly black with white splotches on its particularly shiny fleece coat. There didn’t seem to be anything like it elsewhere.

Raihan paused at the door of the cabin, looking over at Bonnie.
“Hey! Are you coming or what?” Raihan yelled over towards her, effectively scaring the strange Dubwool away.

Bonnie's eyes widened at the sight of the wooloo's larger counterpart; even in the dark, minuscule lighting of the area, it was easy to tell the Dubwool's coat was abnormal. Oh! Oh she wanted to pet them! She had absentmindedly taken a step in the direction of the creature, though stopped when Raihan's voice ringed out-- and the Dubwool trotted off in a panic.

A disappointed scowl crossed her face, and she turned to walk towards the cabin. Leon had looked over his shoulder when the other man called out, watching Bonnie with a small level of confusion. "You scared off a shiny," She grumbled once she got closer, glancing back over at the spot the Dubwool had been standing, hoping to see it again. She never got to see wild shinies.

Raihan didn’t seem to care.
“You mean Dokutoku? It’s one of Milo’s pokemon here he keeps out on the field. They’re still wild but they’re tame.” He said with a shrug, and a following smile.
“You’ll probably see him again.” He added, before rapping his fingers on the wooden door.

“Milo?” Raihan asked, putting his ear closer to the door. There wasn’t a response, but soon enough, a man opened the door. He was shorter than both Leon and Raihan, but he was still average height. He had a very soft appearance and a bulky body. It seemed kinda funny, but Raihan couldn’t help but smile when he saw him.

“Oh! Hey Raihan, Leon!” Milo said with a smile. He had on a green scarf with a matching black and green plaid jacket over a white t-shirt. It didn’t seem to what he usually wore- as he was a gym leader. However, he still kept on his sunhat that was usually apart of his tournament outfit.

Leon snickered quietly at Bonnie's apparent irritation-- which only made the woman deadpan and cross her arms over her chest with a huff. Her eyes returned skyward as she waited for the door to open, trying to find the regional constellations-- she was still learning the ones that were visible from Galar.

When the door opened, Leon beamed cheerily. "Hey, man! Ready to head out?" He planted his knuckles on his hips; he didn't want to keep Gordie and Piers waiting.

One look at the new guy told Bonnie he was a softie-- despite his build, his eyes lacked any hard edge to them; if he wasn't as innocent as he looked, he was one of the best actors she'd ever seen. The short woman didn't really offer anything in the way of greeting, instead looking back out at the surrounding field.

“Mhm! But who else did you bring?” Milo asked, looking over to Bonnie. He held his hand out for a handshake.
“I’m Milo. Though, I guess you already knew that.” He said with a little chuckle at the end of his sentence, rubbing the back of his neck with his open hand.

The peculiar Dubwool reappeared at the side of the cabin, Raihan noticing it first.
“Why hello Dokutoku!” He said cheerily, abandoning the group to go walk up to it. It was much bigger than the average Dubwool, almost 2 meters tall. Raihan gave it a gentle pat on the nose, which Dokutoku responded with a huff.

Her disposition remained generally disinterested and bored, though she gave him a firm handshake. "Bonnie," She replied flatly, stuffing her hands in her pockets once she pulled away from Milo.

"She's not much of a talker." Leon chuckled, expression lighthearted and amused; Bonnie seemed neither of those things, and in fact sneered at him before her eyes followed after Raihan, and then to Dokutoku. God, he was huge up close. Taller than her, in fact.

Why was everyone so much taller than her?
