''Well... Ayng, since your a vampire could you watch everything at night? Like be the watch guard? Grant, keep an eye on the other guards and other visitors. We don't know who to trust here. Viriya, keep an eye on the other servants. Make sure that they aren't reporting to someone... else. Er... Ixen what would you like for your friends to do?'' Akira asked as he saw Grant nod, Viriya sat still trying to still let it sink in, and Ayng just grinning like a mad man.

Ixen thought carefully. "Well, Matis is a guard. If Ayng is keeping watch through the night, Matis could do it during the day. Mimic has ways of seeing and knowing things that other dragons do not."
He turned to Mimic. "I don't have any specific instructions for you. Just do whatever you do- talk to ghosts, read the future. If you discover anything interesting, tell us."

He looked to Emare last. She didn't have a full job like the others, no complete specific training. He had called her because he could trust her, without any particular job in mind.
"Emare...I don't know. You're always good at catching whenever I'm being stupid, and you notice things I don't. Stick around, keep your eyes and ears open. I'm sure you'll see something I've missed."

(Quite alright! I've been busy this whole week, no down time what-so-ever.)

Once all the instructions were sought out, Akira took the liberty of getting to know everyone else. With a smile on his face he spoke out first.

''Alright! Now that is done, let's get to know each other. If we are to play this 'game' it's best to know the 'pieces','' Akira began, ''and it'd be perfect since we're all in a room together!'' Ayng had a shock face on now. Never in her vampire years has she seen Akira actually say something smart. The world must be ending, was he conclusion.

''Perfect idea, Akira!'' Viriya cheered him on as Grant just chuckled and nodded.

"I suppose I'll start then?" offered Matis. "I am Matis, head of the royal guards. I have been watching over Ixen since he hatched. I am well-versed in combat and will do my best to protect you all. This is my lovely wife, Mimic. I will let her introduce herself, but I will say this- there's a reason she was chosen to be the royal family's official mystic. Our eldest three children roam our homeland, fighting monsters. The younger three are still young, and learning."

Grant decided to go next. ''I am Grant. I am the head guard and tutor for Akira. I am a sword specialist and I am great with close combat. My elegance goes to Akira only, and soon to Ixen. I will do my best in protecting each and one of you, but I can't be certain that I will. Time will only tell with this... game. I am also the commander of the army, with Devec and Szeth.''

"Uh, Mimic?" Emare asked, but the pearlcatcher shook her hooded head. "Ok, I guess I'm next then. Hi everyone, I'm Emare! My parents were nobles, but they died, so I was raised in the palace with Ixen. We're basically best friends, and know everything about each other. When I come of age, I will will take over my parents' responsibilities as Lady Daezhen. Until then, I've been getting a proper court education- history, literature, mathematics, magic, swordplay, economics and so on. I'm best at magic and history."

Viriya smiled before she began speaking up, ''I'm Viriya. I'm no one in the high class. Actually I'm a servant of the palace, and Akira's long time friend. It's nice to meet you all!'' Her voice laced with nothing but cheerfulness, even in a serious situation.

''Ahh... yes.... Viriya the... annoying one.'' Ayng sighed out as she knotted herself together, bored to no end. She sighed, hating these stupid introductions. ''And I am Ayng. All you need to know is that I am a vampire and a puppet master. I'm not going to suck you dry in your sleep, unless you provoke me.'' She stated in a no argument voice.

Ah, so Viriya was a servant. Ixen felt a little embarrassed, most of his friends were nobility. Perhaps he needed to get in touch with common dragons more often. Technically, Matis and Mimic were servants- but they held rather high ranked and respected positions.

Mimic looked around. "I am Mimic, the Royal Mystic. I can speak to ghosts and spirits, and have ways of telling the future. It can be very difficult to keep a secret from me. With your permission, I would like to do a reading."
Once she received approval, Mimic got out a deck of old cards and began shuffling. She lay nine of them out on the table, in a 3x3 square. Ixen was familiar with her fortunetelling, but Mimic explained it to everyone else.
"The first row is the past, the second row the present, and the third row the future. The center card is the most important- it tells us what is at the heart of the matter. If a card is upside down, it means that thing is against us."

(i don't want you to spoil the entire prophecy, so I will let you describe what the fortune is. Possible cards= all of my gods (life, death, day/light, night/darkness, air, earth, water, love, illness, war), also: creativity, a decision or tipping point, a secret, etc.) It's a little like tarot cards.
