He was alright for the most part - except for an injury he had sustained during the war. He was attacked by a Shade-Creature, which infected him with a curse; he would constantly carry around a piece of shade, which slowly but surely drained him entirely. He tried everything in his power to stop it, and when it didn't work, he tried to isolate himself from the lands and dragons he loved so much. But that didn't work either. As the shade-creature gained more control over his body, its hunger for destruction grew. With unlimited access to his mind, it didn't take the creature long to trace his steps back to his clan. Not one dragon tried to point their weapons at him - he was a friend, even if he had grown some extra limbs, even if his own eyes no longer shined and the eyes that did were on his wings, even if he was actively growling at them. He was a friend, a hero, a legend. They tried to escape as the hands coming out of his original wound caught them, bringing them back into the hole in his back. The creature was hungry, and Jovial's clanmates were its first meal. [b]No survivors.[/b] But that wasn't enough - the creature still hungered for more, so it turned its attention back to the forest. It hungered to know what monsters would taste like. Nowadays, what's left of Jovial wreaks havoc on the very forest he fought so hard to establish peace on, looking for the next piece of meat to sink his greedy teeth in.
