I love to see little kids in costumes that they made themselves. I love decorating the house in Halloween symbols and colors. I love Halloween costume parties where you play traditional games like bobbing for apples, scrying for the future, pin the tail on the black cat, identify “body” parts in a bag while blindfolded, and carving pumpkins. I love the whole turning of the seasons with warm days and cool nights and colorful leaves. I love making, using and seeing scary (but not bloody decorations) . I love scary music and movies (again not gory). I love that it is the one time of year that you can be obsessed with graveyards and their art and not be considered weird.
