This was a challenge/project that I stumbled upon, and I took great inspiration from [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3265042/1#post_3265042]Saronai's thread[/url]! After almost 8 years on this game, I was sick of [I]cringing[/I] at my 7-year-old lore on my dragons. Every year I would attempt to rewrite the same lore, but better, and every year I would burn out before I could finish it all. So, instead of repeating that cycle, and just in general falling out of love with my original ideas, I [I]wiped my entire lair's bios.[/I] I'm happy to see my growth in writing/creativity and I'm so excited for this clean slate! I had heard of the Pinkerlocke challenge and had never done it, and this BioLocke challenge is right up my alley! So I took the rules and spun them to meet my own clan's needs and my own sanity! :D [center][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][/center] [center][size=5][b]What I'm Working With...[/b][/size][/center] So, I [I]did[/I] wipe all of my clan's bios..BUT! I did make a [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/82862689]template[/url] and have it already pasted to all of my dragons already! So I at least have a cookie cutter-ish thing to work with and fill in as I go, plus I can add to it depending on what I need for each dragon. [emoji=wind rune] The main lore part of my lair is considered 'The Spectrum', a bustling lair full of a rainbow of dragons at all times. Travelers, residents, coliseum goers, anyone is welcome to come and go and stay as long as they'd like. These are the dragons I've had since day one and have been adding to over the years, I want them to have pretty clothes, lore, bios, the works! Some are sprinkled in my active lair, but most reside in my HibDen. [emoji=wind rune] I DO have a few other sections of dragons I'd like to maybe put lore on, but they're mainly just pretties to look at right now. Those would be my [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/den/200004/2386355?name=&type=undefined]crew of Aethers[/url] and my [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/den/200004/2367594?name=&type=undefined]fish tank[/url] of pretty Undertides. Maybe if I get names on the Aether crew I'll add them to my list, but for now, they're just gene projects with a few ideas for lore for later. [emoji=wind rune] I made a [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zCtRmsGFr6Jk6VYOIS32s5-mKAS8dNrr1bBh2Si9v9Q/edit?usp=sharing]spreadsheet[/url] to help me keep track of things! Again, took a lot of inspiration from Saronai's sheet, but feel free to take a peek at mine for your own or just to snoop and see how I'm doing! [center][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][/center] [center][size=5][b]Background Tasks[/b][/size][/center] There are lots of other things I'd like to work on alongside the bios and lore on my dragons! This is more of a physical list for me to reference for when I want to work on [I]something[/I] lore-ish but can't figure out what to do. [emoji=wind rune] Work on the general lore / information of The Spectrum itself. [emoji=wind rune] Doodle some headshots, or at least plan art pieces and put the ideas to words. [emoji=wind rune] Look up color combo rarities for funzies and list it as a fun fact on the dragons. [emoji=wind rune] Actually train my trainers-in-training, dang it! [emoji=wind rune] Write for the travelers visiting The Spectrum and send them on their way! [emoji=wind rune] Hop into the Star Station and grab a bounty hunt. [emoji=wind rune] I'm sure I'll think of more tasks for later.

[center][size=5][b][emoji=wind rune] My Rules [emoji=wind rune][/b][/size][/center] Okay, pretty sure my guidelines aren't anywhere close to original BioLocke rules, but they work for me and my lair so that's all that matters (plus I think it follows enough that it's probably fine LOL). ----- [center][size=4][b][emoji=gust] Food [emoji=gust][/b][/size][/center] [emoji=insect size=1] [b]INSECTS | Personality[/b] - This will be me putting item images for the "vibe check" part of the bios and maybe a blurb about the dragon if it fits with what I'm trying to do. [emoji=meat size=1] [b]MEAT | Connections[/b] - Dealing with who the dragon knows. Relations? Friends? Enemies? This will be me working on the Relationships section of each dragon. Usually just one piece of it unless I feel up to doing more than one. [emoji=seafood size=1] [b]SEAFOOD | Strengths & Weaknesses[/b] - This will probably go into the fun facts section of each dragon until/unless I can work it into the long form part of their bio and have the brain power to do so. [emoji=plant size=1] [b]PLANTS | Clan Placement[/b] - Picking a job or placement for them within the clan and figuring out what exactly they do on a day-to-day basis. ----- [center][size=4][b][emoji=gust] Materials / Trinkets [emoji=gust][/b][/size][/center] [emoji=star size=1] [b]ONE STAR | 50 Words Minimum[/b] - In either the intro part or the bio / lore section of each dragon I'll have to write a minimum of 50 words, totally okay if I go on a writing spree some days though! [emoji=star size=1][emoji=star size=1] [b]TWO+ STARS | 100 Words Minimum[/b] - Same as above, just 100 is the minimum word count for the day. ----- [center][size=4][b][emoji=gust] Familiars [emoji=gust][/b][/size][/center] - Any familiar pulls are a call for artwork! Whether it's my own artwork, or a commission from another artist, it needs to be ordered or started that day! Doesn't have to be finished, just started at the very least! ----- [center][size=4][b][emoji=gust] Apparel [emoji=gust][/b][/size][/center] - Playing dress up with my dragons! I'm usually an enjoyer of just pretty dragons without apparel, but I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy seeing other peoples' dressed up dragons! This is a way to help me get some outfits planned at the very least and link it in their bios. Most pieces will be added to [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/19235496]my wishlist[/url] if anyone would like to help out! <3 ----- [center][size=4][b][emoji=gust] Battle Items [emoji=gust][/b][/size][/center] - Battlestones and the like will tell me to work on the BBCode for my bios! Since I have the bare bones code for all of my lore dragons, I'll be looking for extras for them. Finding free assets, making my own and prettying them up a bit. Just jazzing up the bios! [center][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][emoji=wind rune][/center] [center][size=5][b]Crim Rule[/b][/size][/center] Usually if I start on one thing, my brain ping-pong-balls to like twelve other things to work on. So I'm adding an optional Crim item to each day! I'm also tracking these on my spreadsheet and will track them here if I decide to do them! I'm just going to take the first item I can successfully hand over to Crim as my item for the day, but I'm not going to pressure myself to do it every day if I don't have the brain power or the time.

[url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/82862689]Viridi[/url] here holds my template in her bio![/center] [emoji=gust size=1] [b]1 - NAME & PLACEMENT[/b] - At the top of the box I have the dragon's name (or UNNAMED if I haven't given them one) and their placement or job within the clan. Pretty simple! [emoji=gust size=1] [b]2 - VIBE CHECK[/b] - I like to put item visuals to show a sort of vibe for the dragon. This can either be color related, what the item is, just the vibe of the item and the dragon, etc. It's all vibes at a glance. [emoji=gust size=1] [b]2.5 - OPTIONAL SECTION[/b] - Sometimes in this section I'll stick badges, adopts, or just little assets. Nothing crazy but worth mentioning! [emoji=gust size=1] [b]3 - YOU WALK UP TO THIS DRAGON[/b] - I had seen this idea on a couple different lairs and decided to add it in to mine! A paragraph will go here describing as if you were walking up on this dragon during their day-to-day goings on. I think this gives a slice of life flair to the bio and I think it'll be fun to write the personalities of each dragon so differently in this way! [emoji=gust size=1] [b]4 - BIO[/b] - This is the main biography and lore section, and will probably be the longest for most of my dragons. Backstory, important long form events, etc. will go in this section. [emoji=gust size=1] [b]5 - OTHER FACTS[/b] - These are just random fun facts and tidbits about the dragons that don't necessarily fit into the long form writing of the bio or intro above. Could be anything as groundbreaking as a secret identity to their favorite dessert. [emoji=gust size=1] [b]6- RELATIONSHIPS[/b] - This amazing section was created by @/Kaykao and they were so kind to send me the code to be able to use it! I haven't gotten the hang of doing more than 3 without the code getting messy, but some of my dragons have long lineages in my clan so I'll figure it out on this journey to be able to have more than three! For each Connection day, I'll have to fill out a minimum of one dragon relationship but sometimes I'll do a few if I know the connections well enough. [emoji=gust size=1] [b]7 - FREE SPACE[/b] - After that it's free game! This can be artwork, assets, short stories, lists, badges, whatever goes with the dragon will go here! Hoping as I dive more into the lores and stories of my dragons, and reinventing them in a way, that I'll have more ideas for things in this section to really fill it up and make it pop! As the bigger dragons disperse, flying off over the bamboo stalks, you make your way in front of the Fae. Noticing a slightly larger and quiet female with him, they have an air of calm power around them which makes you feel safe. "Hey there, welcome to The Spectrum!" The male Fae has a deeper voice than you would have expected, which catches you off guard at first.
