They were beautiful, but it was her son that caught her attention most.
Absinthe had been pleased with his little brood and crowed over them all, nuzzling and cuddling and telling them grand stories about the life in his own clan. Sedona watched, listening with gratitude that he didn't seem at all strained at the fact that he may never leave with one of his own hatchlings. Her son, adorned with multi-gazed eyes like herself, harped quietly by her paws. "Don't you worry," Sedona murmured to him, watching as Absinthe was pounced on by their daughter. "You have siblings to keep you protected, fed, and trained. I will not let anyone treat you differently."
Sedona knew that her territory will not be able to handle so many of her children, and knew that the day was coming that she would have to part with them. Until that day was upon her though, she was grateful to keep them within her grasp. "Time for bed," she called to the prowling, squawking children and to the chuckling Coatl that played with them. "Come inside, let's tuck in."
