"What [i]darling[/i] hatchlings," Blanche cooed, opal flecked wings shimmering in the warm early winter sunlight. "My clan will be so excited."
Sedona was pleased with herself, but felt a tingle of disappointment. Her genes were too strong, and she didn't know how she would ever get away from the knowing glance of her own half-siblings that were all around the world. What would happen if all she did was give them python and lace? What would happen if she could never get away from the curse her own father had given her? She nudged the triplets into her wingspan, giving them warmth as a winterly wind picked up. Sedona looked up to Blanche, gave a weak smile, and ushered her little family back into the den to get away from the incoming weather.
She had a feeling that this would never get any easier.

I have the Bogsneak scroll I can use, but I was hoping to have it all completed for the new year. We'll see! As mentioned before, Blanche and a hatchling of @Bisharpamor's choosing goes back with them, and the others will be hibdenned and exalted if not picked! <3[/size]

I'm so excited to see the results of these- I will probably come back with some lore but I am just BUZZING!! Might have to buy a clutchwarmerand clear out all of my fodder to have these hatchlings quicker...

"They're hatching," Nilis said solemnly, from his position above the hatchery.
Sedona nodded, exhausted. She had spent every day of this particular incubation period nudging, rolling, touching each egg and making sure no soft spots formed. She knew she could handle a handful, but this was the first time she had stuffed a nest full. Now these same eggs were trembling, positively radiating to burst- when one did.
A Skydancer.
Then like dominos, the four others hatched one by one. Four Guardians popped out, mewling, growling, Three boys, two girls. Immediately she led the right whelps to the proper food, Nilis watching with a dark sense of pride as he towered over the little family he had given. "I will take my leave in the morning." He told Sedona, having done his job. "Tell them I'll be flying near the Ocean, they'll know I'm their father, trust me."
She did- she didn't have a choice. So she cleaned eggshell stuck to her children, chuckling like a rumble deep in her throat, as she touched them, memorized their smell, sighed when they all found their proper place to nap. She shielded them from the night rains, and didn't bother waiting for Nilis to say more as she lowered her own head and sank into sleep.
