A growl one that Sedona had heard from various mates all trying to accomplish the same thing left the Imperial's chest. "Sedona-" "Morning works best, after they've been fed. There's a small basket you can carry your pick of the litter home with you, as they are unable to fly. Their wings are just new, you know." Sedona carried on, as if she hadn't heard him. "You must return with me!" "I won't, and that'll be the end of this discussion. Continue pressing the matter, and you'll be escorted off my territory by a guard you have no choosing of." Sedona's tone was sharp, final. Prius settled near the yawning door of the nursery, grumbling to himself. @windwheelaster - sedona has about 48hrs before her cooldown but i won't be online much of today or much of the next day, so i'd thought to ping you a little early, if you're still happy to have your boy in on her challenge (: if not, no worries!

Her partner, Torrent, hummed as he collected bits of moss and flat-leaves from trees Sedona could not reach. Her eggs - darling leafed things never failed to amaze her. Torrent gave another soft hum, and moved to wrap his tail near the side of the nest. "They glow. Healthy, strong." He murmured, settling a few scant feet from the nest. Sedona nodded in agreement. She had never failed a nest and had never had a hatchling deteriorate before meeting the world. She wasn't going to start that trend, now. She moved to stretch out on the other side of the Skydancer, watching the sunlight catch on his opal scales. She hoped one of their hatchlings would have his markings.

Sedona rumbled and hummed, pleased as her Skydancer daughter trilled and flapped feathered wings against her sister's head. They had only been out of their eggs for one day, and already their personalities were bright and firm. Torrent continued to bring things to the nest for his daughters to play with, blinking cyan eyes at the babies before turning his narrow head to his mate of the moment. His time with Sedona was over. They broke for dinner, the elder siblings and children returning at their own pace to meet their newest siblings, some getting close and others keeping their distance. At the back of their territory, Sedona's Obelisk daughter was working near relentlessly to perfect another strange, foul tasting potion. The Shift was coming, Sedona could feel it. Giving her daughters a soft nudge, she tucked them back into the nursery, telling their father to watch them while she flew, Sedona took a much needed trip out into the terriory that had grown since she started this nearly a year ago.
