He was a lumbering giant compared to her, and even her eldest son Forest was no match for the Imperial. "I've heard of your mission, Sedona." He said, voice low and soft, as if not to dispair her. "I'd like to leave my mark as well."
She studied him for a moment, keenly aware of the way her children watched with wary eyes. They all had opinions - most of her suitors had been found near the territory lines with time to question them. Lately, being left out of the questioning period had made her children anxious, and she didn't know how to soothe their worries. "We have space," Sedona said as agreement. Her latest clutch had split, leaving her with a son that ached for his hatchmates. "Come. Lunch will be ready and we can all have a discussion." She meant her current children- some were clearing out more space a days journey from them.
Sedona could feel it in her scales that she was getting closer to her goal.
