I stretch my body and try to walk again, placing claws on the ground and giving a yawn. I should probably retire. My feathers were ragged, my body was losing color, and it was clear to anyone that I was getting old. But in my senior years, the Clan has grown large and I watched it proudly. First, I witnessed the glowing of supernatural energy. Astronomy, now a proud medium, summons a wandering spirit that is now a member of the Clan. Lewsyn, the milky-eyed skydancer. Lewsyn stood blankly, staring down at the ground as he usually does. I don’t think he enjoys the lack of action. I wonder if he would go off and leave, but Astronomy’s channeling seems to have kept him here. He recently started to mumble about how old he feels since he had a vision of his granddaughter. I asked him that children, and grandchildren by extension, were a gift. He simply rolled his eyes, saying that his son disappointed him and that his granddaughter most likely would too. I never understood why he seemed so irritated with his kin. But I was not Lewsyn, and as I managed the Renewed Spirits, I found new Clanmates to aid in the cause. I remember Khital like it was yesterday. They flew down to the radioactive land of Oden, platinum, purple, and red wings like a blooming flower. Their skin was dark gray and their body was tattered. They rammed into me and tugged my feathers, cooing into my eardrums and telling me how beautiful I was. I wanted Khital. I desired them. They purred again, and I soon laid three eggs with the red-eyed fae. When I tried to find them, they hung in a nest, simply replying that the eggs were my responsibility. I searched to see if they were there, and I saw the fae, swinging their kusarigama and practicing their battle skills. They were there when the eggs started to hatch, and watched them eagerly. They started to crack and soon I saw my newest children. A pair of fae. One was a brilliant blue with gold-and-black wings and green streaks, and the other pitch-black, with a pair of crimson-and-purple wings, as well as orange tinting her scales. I gave them the names Khithyre and Draphal, and I watched them grow into brave and strong dragonesses. One a leader, and the other a magician. I did not see them at the moment, but knw they were busy with their own affairs. Ever since the expansion of the Renewed Spirits, there have been many dragons willing to take the opportunity. We have gotten two obelisks to join this place, in fact. Delma and Ravenfeather could not be more difficult, but both of their skill sets were vital to this place’s success. I wander the forestal parts of Oden, soon noticing Delma and her familiar, Peewee, in the distance. The piebald obelisk originated from Wind, her red-and-purple flowing from her head to her back. She has helped to find many familiars and is friends with most of the fauna that she comes across. [item=sorrowsnow bulemoth][item=afternoon tea][item=spongy spingy][item=enchanted jewelry][item=eel of the depths][item=sabrespine prowler][item=flying fawn][item=green-breasted sawbeak][item=brilliant psywurm][item=triple-sight firebug][item=fancy terror bird][item=guest greeter][item=moordwelling trunker][item=whimsical ensemble] Delma waves me aside and turns to see Ravenfeather. Ravenfeather gives the flick of her tail and looks over at me with her bright blue eyes. Most of her body was obscured by clothing and black splotches, but what little could be seen was multicolored black, white, and orange fur. She gives a nod as I pass through and soon returns to what she is doing with Delma. They were not related, but they nevertheless had a familial relationship with one another. Delma took good care of her, but Ravenfeather was always a tad unnerving. I decided to check up on some of the younger dragons. Khital and I were the first to have children, but we were not the only ones to have settled down. Daranc and Incubore had grown closer and wanted to expand their family from just them and Loughrey, to something larger. The next thing I know, Incubore brought in an egg and from that egg came a jaguar-spotted teal-and-green imperial. She was named Amari, and she is, I am afraid to say, hardly doing anything. No one really likes her except for her family, though she is trying her best to entertain everyone. I swear she is trying to say something, but I do not hear what exactly it is. Loughrey has also had children, having had a romantic fling with another auraboa named Cuttle. I hear him murmur about her and her beauty, though I have never seen her. What I have seen are Loughrey’s two children, Ninigi and Minthe. Ninigi had golden scales with deep green feathers, as well as blossoms of dusty-gray blossoms emerging from their eyebrows. Minthe was smaller, instead having brown scales with purple splotches across her body. Her feathers grew a brilliant spearmint color and extra, leathery ears and wings shaped her body. They were not the only auraboas, however. There was also Diaethria’s daughter, Ringlet. She was smaller than Minthe, but larger than Ninigi, possessing brown scales with forest-green streaks and a mane of black, crimson, and yellow feathers. She too had geodes, though they sparkled with Arcane energy. They were the distance, and when I passed through Oden, I noticed the distant shine of gold, hickory, and brown scales. The auraboas were busy with their own affairs. Passing through the grass and seeing the sparkling sky. I noticed another new recruit. The biggest of them all. They were ninety-nine feet long and glowed blue, purple, and pink. They dripped gold and were not of this world. It was the child of Eirlys and Branch and the younger sibling of Astronomy, Pilgrim. They were brave, powerful, and alien, but also naive. I did not know the imperial very well, but I knew that they were working hard to uncover the past and enjoy their time in Oden. Eirlys wanted to have a family, and now, as I notice her. She was in a smaller, more compact shape. It was the only way she could have a child with Branch, and the now tundra-shaped entity continued to do her part in Oden. The size of the Clan had expanded, and many held hopes of a bright future. The Crystalline Gala and the Trickmurk Circus had passed, and the Mistral Jamboree would begin soon, but the serpents were not seen. I knew they had a meaning, all of the serpents of the seasons. Charlotte, Anderson, Maraschino, Squeaky, Virus, and Tussore. But the others were missing, and I could feel the air twisting itself… The peace would end and we would have to move forward. --------------------- @pinglist-2284 Here is the big fat Interlude post. Mercury’s Coming has returned and I’ve spent the time to bring in some new members. Lewsyn is now a PC with a risk of dying (again). I got myself a few new dragons, Khital, Delma, and Ravenfeather, from the auction house to bring in some new blood, and I breed my older dragons! Draphyre has had a new clutch with Khital, a pair of fae named Khithyre and Draphal. Eirlys has transformed her body and now has a child with Branch, Pilgrim. There will also be some new NPCs, but first I had to introduce all of the new PCs. I also gave everyone familiars. The familiars aren't too important, but they're there and being taken care of in Oden. @Mercury's Coming
Here is the big fat Interlude post. Mercury’s Coming has returned and I’ve spent the time to bring in some new members. Lewsyn is now a PC with a risk of dying (again). Ooo! Can't wait too see what shenanigans the new guys get up to!

Fun fact: Ravenfeather is the aunt of one of my favorite dragons, Koi who I got when I first started! I had no idea his grandparents were still breeding!

Chapter 61 - Meeting the Dark The die has been cast. The number that was rolled was 12. A fight has occurred and Draphyre, Ravenfeather, and Minthe are involved. Draphyre, Ravenfeather, and Minthe’s fates are in Lady Luck’s hands. The numbers that were rolled are 41, 24, and 51. Draphyre has come out unscathed. Ravenfeather has come out unscathed. Minthe has gained a Minor Injury --------------------- Minthe Today was the Mistral Jamboree, and I waited in anticipation to see if the serpent of this season would emerge from the winds. That was what all Draphyre’s been talking about. The serpents, the meaning of the serpents, and what they entailed. I thought they were too focused on these serpents, and I simply wanted to enjoy the holiday. I ensured everything was organized and beautiful before breathing in and looking over to my sibling. Ninigi seemed to be thinking about getting an accent and soon swiveled over to me. “Happy Mistral Jamboree! How is your dayyy?” Ninigi asked me. “Mmm. I reckon I’m fiiiiine.” I reply, feathers raised. “Your eyes. Your eyes twitch.” Ninigi replied, “You’re being haunted.” I shake my head and try to see what is haunting me. Ninigi curls their body around my own, connecting and holding my arm. The wind blows across my body and I suddenly struggle to breathe. It was coming. An entity that was both dark and cruel. Ninigi was not touched by such an entity, but they could feel the stress pulsating through my skin. I suddenly heard a loud noise crash down and noticed Ravenfeather, her body dripping with pitch-black ink. Her bright blue eyes started to ooze and she stood still. Unable to move and staring out into the distance. A shadow appears under her and suddenly, she is dragged by it. Ravenfeather lets herself be dragged by the darkness and seems almost to embrace it. The wind continues to blow, and I too see the dark, blinding me and capturing me within its tendrils. It tries to bring me in but I reject the notion and bite one of the shadowy whips. I spit out the ink and soon start to hear the whispers of the other Clan members. Of all the times the darkness had to come, why on the Mistral Jamboree? I continue to try and get Ravenfeather out of the darkness. I see neither Ninigi nor my familiar in the shadows, so the only thing I can focus on is saving Ravenfeather. I dive in and try to grab onto Ravenfeather’s paw. She nervously holds my claw and I try to drag her out of the tendrils. “Why are you doing this?” Ravenfeather mumbles. “Because I’m smart enough to know tisssss isssssn’t a good idea,” I replied to her. “The Dark…” Ravenfeather says, “It’s calling me! It wants me to come to it!” “Doesssss not mean you sssshould!” I blurted out. I suddenly feel a chill hit me, and then both Ravenfeather and I hit the ground. I slither back up and Ravenfeather also stretches, soon noticing Draphyre staring at her. Ravenfeather looks sheepish and shakes off the ink that is spilling from her body. My body is aching and I know that the entity has injured me, even if no wounds were visible on my body. The winds were still blowing hard and as I sighed, I knew that I needed to get ready for the holiday. The Dark had returned and Oden’s landscape had shifted. We had to be vigilant and we had to be keen. The sky was still a brilliant purple, but now, I noticed a slight tinge of black to it. “Dark nights are upon us.” Draphyre murmured, “Even during the holidays.” “What do we do?” I asked her. “We keep observing and we keep our guards up.” Draphyre replied, “Including you, Ravenfeather.” Ravenfeather laughed nervously, “Okay, I’ll try. I swear!” Draphyre narrowed her eyes at Ravenfeather, but said nothing else. I also said nothing else, simply wanting to enjoy the fresh air and ignore the lurking feeling in my heart. I had to rest, as my body was aching, but I wished not to. This place was so disorganized! One day, I’ll be able to decorate for the Mistral Jamboree, but today was not this day. Ugh. --------------------- @pinglist-2284 Happy Mistral Jamboree! I still need to work on familiar bios and NPCs, but this project has always been a bit of a side project. Draphyre, Ravenfeather, and Minthe’s fates are in Lady Luck’s hands. The numbers that were rolled are 41, 24, and 51. Draphyre has come out unscathed. Ravenfeather has come out unscathed. Minthe has gained a Minor Injury
Minthe
Today was the Mistral Jamboree, and I waited in anticipation to see if the serpent of this season would emerge from the winds.

“Your eyes. Your eyes twitch.” Ninigi replied, “You’re being haunted.”
I shake my head and try to see what is haunting me.

It wants me to come to it!”
“Doesssss not mean you sssshould!” I blurted out.

“April Fools Day. And the fool is you.” An unfamiliar voice echoes.
“What?” I asked.

The glow was gone as soon as I saw it.
Something evil was coming to Oden.
