It is once again time to select a new heir to the Bugly Bloodline. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76310022][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/763101/76310022.png[/img][/url] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/75825511][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/758256/75825511.png[/img][/url] (the proud parents) Our firstborn, [b]Rainfall[/b], is an ice/lavender/violet skydancer with no gene upgrades, but a lovely wintery color scheme (just in time for spring [emoji=skydancer confused size=1]). [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76976889][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/769769/76976889_350.png[/img][/url] Our middle child, the somewhat appropriately named [b]Summerwind[/b], is moon/heather/violet, but has completely struck out on upgrades. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76976890][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/769769/76976890_350.png[/img][/url] The youngest of our three contenders for today has been named [b]Freyja[/b] and is a moon/black/eggplant skydancer, but has once again struck out on gene upgrades. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76976891][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/769769/76976891_350.png[/img][/url][/center] So, for the first time in this challenge, we have a tie between two of the hatchlings in terms of upgrades! Both Rainfall and Freyja are skydancers, the upgraded breed, but have no gene upgrades, so as per the rules I set up at the start of this, I’ll use RNG to determine which of them will be the heir. Since there are only 2 options, I just did a coin flip, and heads was the winner, meaning [b]Rainfall[/b] will be our next heir !! Once again, not great luck in terms of genes, but we do at least get a breed upgrade (and it was a skydancer, so perhaps the Windsinger was feeling generous in the spirit of MistJam). I’ll be back again once Rainfall’s breeding cool down is up for another update ! thanks! i love rainfall's color/gene combo too! i've always loved blurple as a color combo (so i guess my flight checks out lol) and i got super lucky that the eyes match the pastels perfectly too !! ^^

[emoji=water rune size=1]Happy ((last few hours of)) Wavecrest ![emoji=water rune size=1] Sorry for my slightly extended absence; I got busy with some irl stuff (including my birthday yesterday ^^), but I’m back just in time to show off this next generation ! Catalina is a sand/sanguine/umber imperial with skink/shimmer/opal. The pretty pair has produced 2 eggs, and they hatched earlier today ! Our first kiddo is [b]Litri[/b], an antique/flint/shadow skydancer with exactly 0 upgrades (but a kinda cool id #). [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/77732213][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/777323/77732213_350.png[/img][/url] The other kiddo from this clutch is [b]Dublin[/b], whose colors are blush/grey/violet. He seems to have taken after his older sister and similarly does not possess a single upgrade. [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/77732214][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/777323/77732214_350.png[/img][/url][/center] So, clearly, we’ve had some phenomenal luck this go around with not a single upgrade across the board, gene or breed. This also means that we’re back to RNG to determine the next heir, and once again it’s between two choices, so I just flipped another coin. Tails reigned supreme this time around, which means [b]Dublin[/b] will be our heir. These rarer genes are certainly proving more difficult to obtain, but we had such good luck at the beginning of this challenge, a couple of roadblocks along the way are to be expected. Anyways, I hope you’ve all had a great Wavecrest, and hopefully I’ll be back to update you when Dublin’s ready to breed and has found a mate ! After all this time, we finally have another clutch of Bugly babies !! Has taking a break given us the luck we need to finally switch things up ? The name generator did bestow him with the name of an Irish knight, which is a kinda cute connection to his father’s name Dublin. These kiddos still have the [i]exact[/i] same genes as their great grandfather [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76310022]Norn[/url] (but there was at least a change in breed somewhere in there). Though I suppose we did end up with some seasonally-appropriate reddish/pinkish colors at least. Once again, since all of the hatchies are tied in terms of breed and genes, we must consult rng, and this time [b]Morold[/b] has been deemed heir apparent. Despite the continuation of our less-than-ideal luck, I am super excited to get back into this challenge, as I did miss my Bugly Buddies while I was away.
