Strange, she thought, how quickly they could leave. Here one day, gone the next.
It had been their first patrol through the actual prison grounds. With Amethyst leading the way and several other full-fledged Wardens at their side, they were supposed to be safe. Everything was supposed to go smoothly. Yet on that day, Irirangi discovered that things rarely worked out so conveniently in this place.
She didn’t want to look back on it. Not that she’d seen much, anyway. Amethyst crying out an alarm, something growling so close by she could feel the reverberations in the air. Then, one of the other Wardens pushed her back, yelling for her to leave. So she did. No amount of screams echoing behind her ever made her look back.

Well, that was a few moons ago now, anyway. The rest of Irirangi’s training was proceeding as planned, with the events of that day written off as yet another incident of the prison. It didn’t bother her—she’d known what she’d signed up for when she first walked through those massive iron gates. She gazed at them now, and thought about how she’d never leave this place. One day, she’d meet her end without ever having strayed back outside into the lands beyond. Sometimes, she wondered if they were any different from the prisoners.
“You there! Trainee!”
Irirangi glanced over her shoulder, spotting two wardens passing her by.

While the Bogsneak regarded her calmly, the Guardian narrowed his eyes at her, red flashes peeking through his helmet. “What are you dawdling around here for?” he snapped.
Irirangi got to her feet. “I was taking a lunch break,” she explained calmly.
“I don’t see any lunch.”
“Well, yes, on account of me having eaten it. That’s typically what you do with your lunch.”
A rumble of annoyance resounded from the Guardian’s throat. “Think you’re clever, do you?”
“Fairfax,” the Bogsneak spoke up, stopping the Guardian from getting any closer by blocking him with his tail. He then cast his gaze back to Irirangi. “If you’re done, return to the grounds. Or is the training I assigned you not enough?”
“No, Valeth,” the Aberration replied. “I’ll be returning now. Excuse me.”
As she walked away, she felt their eyes on her, but she paid them no heed. Her new trainer—Valeth—wasn’t as hands-on or attentive as Amethyst had been. She’d see him once, maybe twice a day. He’d instruct her on the day’s training and be off again, and she was left to her own devices the rest of the time. Perhaps he thought she could be trusted to do as told. Or perhaps he just didn’t give a rat’s tail one way or another. It was hard to say.
Not that Irirangi cared about that, either. What they thought of her didn’t matter. She was here for one thing and one thing only.

Clean Sweep
It's time for our first big event! Sadly, there's only five Captives around at the moment, three of which have immunity. Nevertheless, there's still a chance today's rolls will impact the rest of the week during which the Wardens will be the dominant faction.
Now then, we don't have a dice roll for the day. Instead, we're going to roll 1d6 for each Captive consecutively to determine their fates and see how things play out.
Our first Captive, Reign...

...rolls a 1, and uses her first death exemption to avoid exaltation.
Next up, Glade.

With a 5, she survives the sweep unharmed, which is great news since she's already used up one of her exemptions this round.
Dham's turn...

With a 2, he uses his first death exemption.
Dham's son, Ross...

...gets a 3, and will have to battle it out in the Coliseum.
Finally, Yvon...

...is exalted with a 2.

Coli survival mode time! Ross is completely alone in this, and as a level 7 dragon, must survive 10 consecutive battles in the Scorched Forest. I'm sure nothing bad will happen, not like this is the worst venue in the game, am I right guys?
Battle 1...

To the shock of absolutely nobody, Ross is KO'd immediately. With that, he gets to stay alive, but will cost the Captives a point in the new cycle, which begins tomorrow.
