I added a points system for each of the two factions, who will now be actively competing against each other throughout the Nuzlocke. I intended to do this from the start, and after much delay, it's finally live! I'm hoping the new system will add even more interest and tension to the challenge. Please see the first post for a detailed breakdown of the new rules. Since they're fresh out of the oven, I might fune-tune them over the next few weeks. I'm open to suggestions and ideas, so feel free to let me know if you have any thoughts on this! Since these dragons have roles which are central to the story, they're going to operate on slightly different rules than the other cast members. During each Vitality round, each of the six starting dragons are going to have [b]two death exemptions[/b]. In other words, they will only die on their third death roll. This will ensure that they survive long enough to play their roles in the plot, allow me to prepare in advance in case it starts looking like they will indeed die, and make their deaths more impactful in the long-run. For this reason, I have restored Reign and she is once again part of the cast. Call it cheating if you will, but it's my locke at the end of the day, so I'll do what I want <3 Lastly, since the rules of the challenge are otherwise quite strict, I'm sure we will see plenty of death from the other dragons regardless. It wasn’t unusual for Fatefall to receive young recruits such as these two. The prison had contract agreements with several clans across Sornieth, after all. Should a clan notice that one of their hatchlings had potential, they could choose to send them off to train with the Fatefall guard (with the consent of their parents, of course). In return, the clan was paid a hefty sum of treasure, and the hatchling had a guaranteed job post upon reaching adulthood. Of course, things weren’t always quite so simple… But that was the gist of how the contracts operated. Amethyst wondered what had prompted Lailyn’s clan to send her here. She was as excitable and impatient as any average hatchling—a stark contrast to the composed Aberration by her side. Yet the Spiral had indeed passed the initial entry examination, and whatever she did must’ve impressed the examiners, for she had been one of only two recruits chosen to train under the banner of the Seekers. Amethyst had her reservations, but she’d refrain from voicing them for the time being. “Now, listen to me,” the Nocturne said, her low voice solemn and level. “I am Amethyst, the Sixth of the Seekers, and I will be your trainer for the foreseeable future.
