A terrible virus has ravaged Sornieth. Three travellers have banded together to survive. Will this unlikely trio make it out alive?
This is my first attempt at a Pinkerlocke, and I'm going to be playing with heavily modified rules. My starting dragons will all be travellers currently staying in my lair. If they die in the locke they'll be sent on in the travelling thread instead of being exalted. As usual any deaths in the coli will result in the dragon being removed from the pinkerlocke.
Food
This will run like usual, and I'll be playing with medium rules: 3 dragons are picked at random to battle in the coli and the venue will be one lower than the highest level dragon picked. I'll stick with the lower end of possible numbers of battles, because I'm swapping out the material and trinket tasks.
Meat = 40 battles
Seafood = 30 battles
Insects = 20 battles
Plants = 10 battles
Materials
There is a virus going around, so for each material pick roll a d10 (or use an rng) for each dragon. Any dragon that gets a 1 is sick. The next day roll another d10 for each sick dragon. If they get 5 or less they're still sick; if they get another 1 they die.
Trinkets
The food supplies have been interrupted over the course of the pandemic and some food has spoiled. Roll a d6 to see if any of your dragons' food is spoiled.
5-6: Nothing happens.
4: Plants
3: Insects
2: Meat
1: Fish
For dragons that primarily eat that food type, roll a D4. 1, it becomes sick.
For dragons that eat that food type as their second choice, roll a D8. 1, it becomes sick.
For dragons that eat that food type as their third choice, roll a D12. 1, it becomes sick.
For dragons that eat that food type as their fourth choice, roll a D20. 1, it becomes sick.
For dragons that do not eat that food type at all, and for numbers greater than 1, nothing happens.
The next day, roll the same dice you rolled for the sick dragons. Another 1, it dies.
(This rule is shamelessly stolen from this pinkerlocke)
Apparel
Breed two dragons together. Each hatchling will survive or not at the whim of a coin toss. Heads they survive, tails they do not. If none are ready the piece of apparel can be saved, or it can be used for gene modification. Edit: If you end up with a backlog and not enough compatible dragons, cn pick up the cheapest hatchling off the AH.
Familiar
Acquire a new dragon using a randomly chosen method. Roll a d6
1. Choose from dragons I'm selling
2. Wind Auction House
3. Realm-Wide Auction House
4. Dragon give away thread
5. Travelling dragon thread
6. Choose from dragons I already have in my lair that I don't have a plan for yet
All travelling dragons will return to their travels if they die in the pinkerlocke. For rolls of 2 or 3 I'll be randomly choosing the breed of the dragon (dragon breeds numbered 1-16 alphabetically), the age (a 1 or a 2 on a d6 means a hatchling, anything above that is adult), and the sex (coin flip, heads=male tails=female), and then taking the cheapest one that fits that criteria.
Battle Items
DEATH STREAK rules: Randomly select three dragons using a random number generator. Fight in the coliseum using the "food" rules 10 rounds consecutively (ie. you cannot leave that arena), quitting midway if a dragon dies. If you are using the easymode rules, switch to the hardmode rules for battlestones.
