The air seemed alive with the noise of the rushing brooks, and it infused her with fresh energy. Today, she took a more leisurely pace, allowing herself to drink in her surroundings and enjoy the sweetness of the air. After several hours journeying, winding a snake-like path with many detours (she spotted a grove filled with frolicking bunnies and spent at least half an hour coaxing a few into her lap for cuddles), she found herself in a new grove of trees beside a waterfall, and realised that she'd reached a dead end. "There are worse places to find yourself," she mused, settling down to listen to the roar of the water and watch iridescent glasswings dart in and out of the spray.
