Boil water in pot -> hot water
Boil water in kettle -> hot water
All ends up at the same result, I never saw why the method in which one uses to heat the water mattered to some folks.

I personally don't cause I have a kettle, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I'm pretty sure it's pretty normal?

I do it all the time when I’m some where that dose not have kettles just make sure that the mug you put your tea bag in is microwave safe. Enjoy your microwave tea fellow tea connoisseur.
