I don’t know if this is universal, but I picked up my dragon Alaska from auctions. While looking at her offspring and bio she had when I purchased her, I realized that she had a lover named Stardust. I felt so obligated to bring them back together. They had cute little matching bios and everything, I could tell they were so well loved at some point. So I messaged the owner,(who wasn’t the original owner) and I essentially offered to give anything to have Stardust in my care so the lovers could be together once more. Idk why I felt such a strong emotional need to do that, but, I have Stardust now, and I couldn’t be happier.
I wish I could find their offspring but they are either exalted or belong to an idle player.

I didn’t buy them, but I rescued one dragon from an exalt rescue. A few months later, the rescue was going to close, and all the dragons would be either sent away or exalted. THEN I saw my dragon’s brother, aaaaaand now I’ve got two Imperial siblings in my hibden :P

yes actually! i originally bought medea because she was pretty, and noticed that her previous mate suren was still active in another lair (though he had other kids). i contacted suren's owner to buy him and keep them together

I periodically check up on the parents of some of my favorite dragons and I was shocked to see that the owner of the parents of my favorite gao had listed them BOTH for sale, so naturally I didn't wanna see two dragons with a long lineage list inevitably go to the exalting block so I scooped them both up and now mac's got a biggol happy family in my lair (including his wife, two of his kids and one of his grandkids) <3

I easily get emotionally attached to pretty pixel dragons ): I have so many families in my lair.
One dragon I have, I loved him so much that for like 6 months I bought every sibling that hatched from his parents. Now I have him and 9 of his brothers. And that's not the only story I have like that.

I don’t have a happy story like that, but I do have a dragon for whom I did quite a bit of digging to uncover his full (tragic) backstory.

Magnus came with quite a bit of lore (I’ve since re-written it in my own writing style as it was very rough, expanded on quite a bit of it, and I’ve added links to the dragons mentioned in it), and I was super curious about the dragons that had been named in it. His parents and offspring and the dragons he had mated with were all exalted when I got him, so it was nothing but dead ends there. He had changed hands a few times before he came to me so I was a bit stymied as to how I might find out more about him until I decided to search some of the other names. I looked up exalted female faes by the name of Heaven until I found one who had mated with a guardian named Salvator, and BINGO. Salvator was not exalted, and in his bio I was able to get more information about what went down with their clan so I could fill in all of the holes left in his original lore.
It’s not a happy story. My boy has not had an easy life. But he’s much happier now! And I definitely felt better knowing I was able to construct a much more complete backstory for him.

This is my favourite dragon, as well as the first dragon I ever got that wasnt progen. Well, like more than a year after first getting her, I noticed her parents were in a different lair than the one where my fav dragon was originally bred. So I shoot my shot and.... Check her parents :)

I bought two xxx leaf old dragons, was originally going to only get one but then noticed the mate was for sale too. Now they can be together forever in my lair :D
