Thank you for your patience while I got some extra recharge time in this morning! For the last day the deadline for entries will be 9:30 FRT tomorrow!
At that time the thread will close for entries (though you are more than welcome to keep posting!) but I'll allow a TBA stretch of time to let everyone review their tickets and/or purchase any dishwashing stamps if they have gaps they want to fill on their card. I'm aiming to do the raffle pull Monday night, or Tuesday at the latest.

Karshal brushed Salt and crushed Cindermint and Sage Omen onto a large cut of Not a Sheep and slowly cooked it on a spit rotisserie.
Meanwhile, he carefully removed the Streak's Daggers thorns to reveal the firm, juicy interior, which he grilled until slightly softened.
He picked plump grubs from Buzzing Rotwood and grilled these as well.
When the slow-cooked meat was ready, he cut out some juicy chunks, skewering them alternately with the prepared Streak's Dagger and grubs from the Buzzing Rotwood.
Karshal plated the kebabs and brought them over to The Flaming Kebab Joint.

Chess got to the competition early again today. The festival had flown by this year, especially since he had arrived late and missed the first day. He was hoping to finish with enough time to finally get out to explore the festival and all that the night market had to offer.
But it looked like he might need some extra time to come up with some sort of idea on how to use the ingredients. He preferred to try to adapt to the booths theme and had two choices left: Cloudsong Confections or Curly Cream. He looked dubiously at the ingredients, wondering how to fit them to either theme.
Since the baked goods for Cloudsong Confections didn't have to be sweet, he decided that he could make a far better tasting savory baked entry than trying to force the ingredients to fit into ice cream. It certainly was POSSIBLE to put them in a savory base, like olive oil, and have them as mix-ins, but just not something he wanted to try to tackle on the last day.

Chess thought through different types of baked goods - he had done savory pies before. He wasn't sure if pizza would count, although he definitely needed to make that in a future competition. But calzones... that would be a good use of the Not a Sheep (henceforce known as "lamb").
Chess started with his prep - the Buzzing Rotwood was the most annoying to deal with today. He had to strip away the wood to find the insects inside. After he had acquired a sufficient amount, he toasted them to add a nice little crunch in the calzone filling.
The Streak's Dagger was the second most annoying to deal with today. He stripped the plant of its spikes and bark and was left with the tender inside. Instead of chopping, he used a peeler to cut julienne-style strips, which resulted in thin tender strips of the plant. He'd steam it to wilt it, making it even softer, and add it to the calzone filling.
He also had to grind up the lamb and season it. Fortunately, since he was making mini calzones, he didn't need THAT much meat and accomplished the task relatively quickly. Today really was about getting the required ingredients ready to use.
Chess then made the dough and set it aside to rise. The filling needed to be pre-cooked (although not to 100%) so it didn't come out raw inside or burnt on the outside.
The Imperial decided on onion, potato (potato onion), and mushrooms for the filling, along with the lamb, some cheese, wilted Streak's Dagger, and the toasted insects. He cleaned, cut, seasoned and pan cooked the ingredients as needed, mixed them all together, and then make the mini calzones.
While the calzones were baking, Chess whipped up a dip to go with it. Mint sauce was a traditional pairing with lamb, so Chess decided to make a yogurt based mint dip with minty jadevine and peppermint as a side.
Since it was the final entry of the festival, Chess took extra care with his plating, doing a sprinkle of chiffonade mint over the calzones.
Since he missed Day 1, once he dropped off the dish at Cloudsong Confections, Chess had to head over to Weary Washers to help Blaze with clean-up from the competition. THEN he could enjoy some free time and wander around the night market today.

Rolled ice cream… What an interesting thing. Celosia hadn’t had that before, but with the number of dragons looking for a treat to end the Jamboree, she might have to hold off until she spotted someone else making some. She couldn’t afford to wait with the others when she had her own dessert to prepare.
With the Blue Honey that Athos had so enthusiastically provided, she… well she had no clue where to even start. Having everything frozen was the only way she could think to fit the booth’s theme, but that got her no closer to actually having a dish.
The Streak's Dagger would need to be dethorned no matter what she did, so she set herself to the task.
Athos took the initiative to start removing the fluff from the… well it was listed as Not a Sheep. He removed the fluff from the fluffy meat thing.
Returning home to normal meat was going to be lovely. It was a wonder where the organizers found so many types. There weren't this many weird bugs, she was certain of that.
Her partner had actually gone off to find even more blue ingredients the day before, after they had submitted their entry, and she poked through the choices she had.
Mixing the honey with some Indigo Mimosa would make a lovely sauce. If she picked the bugs out of the Buzzing Rotwood, and tossed them together with everything else, she could make a half decent salad. Athos had mostly focused on plants, he had probably been hungry when looking, but this would make something healthy, and justify having having a treat at the Curly Cream booth for anyone who felt a bit guilty about indulging.
She would still stick in some Ice Crystals, just to make sure she was on theme.
Dicing the now not fluffy not sheep, she tossed everything together into a large bowl to mix, adding Seaberries and Glow Mushrooms as well. Some Manyleaves were handed off, so Athos could have fun shredding them to pieces.
Once she had separated things into nice neat servings, she placed a Madame Snapdragon and Vibrant Flutterer into each bowl, to make them look a bit nicer. A pretty, if not all that sweet, end to the festivities.

Haku decided to make some rolled ice cream with the ingredients today. It seemed a bit tricky since these don't look like desserts but he could come up with something!
[item=Streak's Dagger][item=Honeycomb Fragment]
Carefully, he removed the thorns and extracted the pulp and juice of the Streak's Dagger into a bowl. He placed the thorns in there too, which melted into a sugary syrup when heated with fire. The nutrion and medicinal properties of the thorny plant would be helpful in giving the ice cream an energizing effect!

Haku then used his elemental magic to sear Buzzing Rotwood and toast the crawlies, giving them a nutty crunch, somewhat like caramelized nuts. The imperial then used a mortar to ground the wood into a spice blend which he planned to sprinkle onto the rolled cream later!

The Not Sheep produced some milk which he used to churn into a rich cream base, stirring in some honey and Streak's Dagger syrup before pouring it into a freezing slab. Haku then rolled the mixture and sprinkled some toasted Buzzing Rotwood crawlies onto the ice cream for crunch, tossing them onto an ice cream bowl.
For finishing touches, he added some fruits like Red Delicious Apple and Strawberry to the rolled ice cream and served his dish, Dreamy Rolled Ice Cream to Curly Cream!

There was only one stall that Runewing hadn't assisted yet, and he really wanted to help each stallholder - especially as the festivities had been so busy! But the final stall he needed to help was Tender Tidings Tea, and beverages weren't his forte. So he enlisted the help of Refi, who used to run the Jasmine Café.
They came at the ingredients with the exact confidence he'd hoped for.
"You just need to shove the dagger in the pot, don't even try to prune that thing. It'll be great as a herbal tea, full of anti-oxidants. You'll need to slow cook them in the water, if you boil it we'll lose most of the good stuff."
Runewing followed their instruction as Refi scurried off to find someone who could freeze dry the beetles before they shook them out of the loghive.
They returned triumphant, with a tub full of dried bugs thanks to the assistance of Kakigori.
"When the dagger is steeped, we'll add these," Refi said as they started grinding the beetles with mortar and pestle. "Full of chitin and other good stuff."
"How will we know when the dagger is done?"
"Just judge it based on the colour of the water and how strong you want the tea to be."
"And what about the uh, meat?" Runewing grimaced.
"Hah! If it looks like a sheep, it can be milked like a sheep, can't it? Don't worry I'll taste test it myself first."
When the heated water became a pale green, Refi strained it through a cloth into a thermos. Then they scooped the bug powder into empty teabags. Runewing helped them with the process and Refi left once again to find a "not-sheep".
When they came back, all the tea was bagged and they carried a jug of milk. It was a pale beige colour like a malted milk drink, but it smelled okay.
"It tastes pretty sweet!" Refi reassured him.
They poured out two cups of liquid from the thermos, added a teabag in each, and added a dash of milk once the bag had steeped to their liking.
"Cheers," they said, clinking the cups together before taking the first sip. "Hm! Y'know that's pretty good. The sweetness of the milk makes it tastier than most health teas."
Runewing had steeped his teabag less than Refi, but even so, he had to add more milk. But then he was in agreement, and happy to help carry all their things over to Syrah.

Kada looked around at some of the other contestants. It seemed he was not the only one who had left the ice cream booth for last. He had thought that at some point in the week, inspiration to use the freezer in a unique way would strike, but... Plague dragons would probably love meat ice cream.
"Okay, Smoothie, I need you to turn this into liquid." He handed her the dubious meat. Lamb had a strong gamy taste, but this was clearly not a sheep, so that wasn't a concern. The usually work averse dragon was happy to comply with his request
With streak's dagger, it was easiest to use a peeler and remove the entire exterior rather than try to remove all the little thorns by hand. He had Twizz take care of that. It was a filling ingredient, so they would chop it into small chunks, like chocolate chips.
He wasn't sure what to do with the log, though. Wyatt returned, a little more jittery than normal, and hefted the thing off the table. "I got this. I have a lathe, and a couple of saws, and some-"
Kada shook his head. "You're going to carve the wood? I don't know if that counts as using the ingredient, I mean, I think I'm supposed to cook the bugs..."
"The ingredient is clearly listed as rotwood. And by carving you an immaculate wooden bowl for your meat cream, am I not contributing to the dish? It changes the presentation, its like garnish. And technically a wooden spoon will affect the flavor compared to, say, silver?"
Kada relented. Everyone should get to have fun on the last day of the festival. He brought his ingredients over to the curly cream before the line got too long, ignoring the concerning sounds of machinery.
Using the freshly created bowls, Kada laid out some other potential toppings for the sundae bar so the team could experiment. Spicy cactus syrup might work on savory ice cream, and amaranth seeds could add a bit of crunch. He finished with some sprinkles, and then the team enjoyed* the results of their hard work.

As luck would have it, Olearopaeusth was the only contestant from last year to have her name drawn a second year in a row, but on the last day of the competition, no one at WindSky Weyr begrudged her another round.
She’d hoped she’d be able to make a salad, but one of the mandatory ingredients was a little confusing. If it was Not a Sheep, then what WAS it? It sure looked like a Sheep, from what she understood of the creatures. She poked the beast. Soft wool, gosh, she wanted to keep that! Maybe she could …
Her knife skills were good, and she parted the skin from the carcass in a few large pieces, which she tucked underneath her work table to whisk away afterwards. What was left was clearly meat - of some kind. Unfortunately, meat was not really to her taste, and she didn’t want to make a whole dish of it. She thought she’d go ahead with a salad after all, something heartier, rather than a side dish. She knew you could “cook” fish with lemon juice, so perhaps she could do something similar with this meat, thinly sliced and marinated, so she got to work slicing. She mixed up a pungent marinade, added the meat, and put the combination to the side to allow the liquid to soak in and work its magic.
Next, she had to trim the Streak’s Dagger. It was worth the effort, as the stems are succulently delicious under the viscous spines. She sliced them on the bias, and simmered them in a pan of her own olive oil, infusing it with additional flavor. The Buzzing Rotwood was the easiest part to prepare - she just crumbled the entire thing into a large skillet and dry-fried the components until crispy and golden brown. She only snitched a couple bites in the process.
She fished a piece of meat out of the marinade to inspect it. It smelled pretty good and had lost that raw look it had started with, so she figured it was ready. She strained the marinade, and added a few more ingredients to transform the flavor into something milder and more suitable to toss with salad greens, with plenty of her top tier olive oil, of course.
She collected an assortment of fresh leafy greens and edible flowers, washed and spun dry, and tossed them with her dressing when she was satisfied with the mix of colors and textures. She tossed in the crispy fried bugs and rotwood, some other seeds, some grated radish and carrots, and a few sweet corn kernels for good measure, and then strewed the meat on top. She’d call it … Hoof & Turf Salad.
She got some questioning looks as she carried it over to the Curly Cream stand, but explained to the dragon behind the counter. “I thought you might like to try something in counterpoint to all this ice cream!” she said, as Kakigori fumbled a roll and offered it to Olearopaeusth. “Oh, that would be a bargain, thank-you. but I’m afraid ice cream doesn’t agree with me! All I need is our final stamp, please."

. w.w .
Cacao knew what to do with most of these.
He carefully checked over the log - it was important to know what species it was from and what kinds of insects were in it.
It turned out to have a lot of grubs, termites, beetles, and bees, and was from a species that had strongly-flavoured bark that could be powdered as a seasoning and wood good for smoking things.
Grubs were fatty and could be used in several recipes he knew. Termites were nutty, and could go in a biscuit. And bees were sweet - they could also go in a dessert. The beetles were a richer flavour that'd go well in a savoury pie.
He looks around and sees some other contestants using the milk from the Not A Sheep. The meat would be good in a pie - or as bacon for a maple-bacon bar - but using the milk as well sounds like a good idea.
That's two-thirds of the ingredients handled, but he's not familiar with the Streak's Dagger. He sets a marker on his workstation, Hastes himself, inverts a Haste to slow things down instead of speeding them up and puts that on the ingredients, and flies off to go talk to the people in the clan that DO know what to do with Streak's Dagger.
Pie gives him a cheatsheet, and a few quick tips, and Cacao rushes back to his workstation - via the ingredients tent.
He picks up the ingredients he'll need for his idea, including a large bag of streak's dagger root flour, and darts back.
The streak's dagger has a copious slightly bitter, herby sap and the peeled stem, once drained of sap, can be treated a bit like a strong-flavoured celery.
Cacao set to making several things. He'd been told to go all-out, and there were a lot of baked goods he could think of.
Firstly: separating the insects from the wood and cleaning/killing them with a spell.
Next: taking the bark off the rest of the wood and setting it aside, before using the wood to start smoking a bass.
Then came grinding the bark up to use as a seasoning.
After that, Cacao was a blur of motion, using his limited telekinesis and being constantly Hasted to speed the process along.
He used the spicy bark to flavour a rootflour/wheatflour blend cake, topped with raspberry buttercream icing using milk from the Not a Sheep.
He used Not a Sheep bacon and some maple syrup to make maple bacon bars.
He made four savoury pies: one with the beetles, one with cindershroom and drained Ashfall Prickler, one with minced not-mutton, and one with the smoked fish - all also using chopped drained peeled Streak's Dagger, along with potato onion, black pepper, garlic, and carrot.
He made termite-chocolate biscuits, using the termites from the rotwood like walnuts.
He made cinnamon loach paste rolls, like cinnamon rolls but fishy for piscivores, and used some of the root flour to add a richness to the wetland ghost blend roll.
He used the sweet bees as topping and mashed bee grubs with cream and honey as filling for shellbug-flour doughnuts.
He used the other grubs, sweetened, as filling for chocolate-grub eclairs.
And he took the sap he'd drained out of the Streak's Dagger and used it for balancing the sweetness in a set of winterbelle and violet cheesecake cupcakes.
He took this platter of baked goods over to Meringue and hoped she liked it.

Super thrilled about filling my stamp card and wanted to share! I was a little undecided over how to order the stamps, so I went with a sort of connected path, like a long kite. (I illustrated a version of the card showing my personal path.)
Good luck to everyone else filling up their cards!
