Maybe dragons get squicked by the thought of eating them, since they also hatch from eggs?
[/quote]
I don't know if that's necessarily a problem for dragons - there are plenty of reptiles and birds that eat eggs, whether it's their own or another species', though there is a possibility that (since dragons in Flight Rising are sentient) they may prefer not to.
I could still see some meat-eating dragons using blood as an egg substitute in particular, though!

Regarding forum games, please only select dragons who have familiars - those are the permanent residents of my lair. Feel free to look through the hibernal den, too
Posting here to hold my spot on this thread; I would LOVE to do a deeper dive when I have more brain power tomorrow! I've been working on a line of food dragons, drawing art for them as I have time, and somehow it hadn't even occurred to me to incorporate Sornieth ingredients into my art?!
I was just thinking about how I'd stage the art for my dragon BlackberryPie...

I'm sorry, I'm lowkey cracking up over spiraling into pie lore so hard you missed an entire dragon. I mean that affectionately-
ALSO: We can confirm that milk most likely exists even without the buttersnake butter! In the scene Roadside Tavern...there is seemingly a wheel of cheese on the windowsill. And iirc it has been stated before that the scene is canonical enough that bread exists (because that had been a small debate before. It was quite a while back, and I don't know if the thread exists anymore I'mma be real.) We also can see what look like blue blueberries and a red apple. :D

I have to be so honest with you, entire Flight Rising userbase.... I forgot about the new ancient. I was so absorbed in fake pie lore I just straight up forgot something new had been released. I hope everyone makes pies for their new ancients!!!

I need a pinglist for all the pie drops

Canonically we do have chickens, so there could also be cakes and quiches.

Could you imagine how much an Aether Cherry or Potash Peach pie would cost? I have played this game since 2016 and I have 2. And 0 Potash peaches. I am maxed out in my gathering and gather from all regions.
So, either RNG hates me specifically or those are the most expensive pies in all of Sornieth. I feel like they would be super temperamental crops to grow and due to their scarcity, you might even need an herbalist who specializes in those fruits to locate them.
And don't get me started on the Charged Duneberries that ONLY grow to their maximum sweetness after a storm. So in order to locate them, you'd need a guide who knows The Shifting Expanse well enough to know where they might grow, a meteorologist who can help with weather patterns, and perhaps a local guide who might help with travel/negotiations with local clans who might not take kindly to dragons taking their very rare, scarce, and finicky fruit.

So, we don't have a milk item, but I think we do actually have confirmed milk?
[item=Crunchy Moth Legs]
Like, the description might be meta, but that sure implies dragons have milk available. Yay easier cooking!

Considering how large some dragon breeds are compared to others, i'd imagine pies in Sornieth would have to come in a wide variety of sizes in order to be able to provide reasonable portions to Guardians, Ridgebacks, Imperials, etc.
However, Even if we assume that all the pie ingredients have dozens of standardized sizes for all breeds so that you wouldn't need to use several tons worth of berries just to make a strawberry pie big enough to feed one imperial, then that creates a problem as i'm pretty sure it'd be difficult to make a pie crust thick enough so that it wouldn't just crumble into a gelatinous pile of sugar and disappointment at the slightest touch due to the square cube law without severely burning the exterior of the crust when baking it.
