What a lovely post with lots of good information! :) The oldest in my lair is this guy. I traded food for him in someone's lair cleanout, I've had him ever since! He's going to turn 10 this May!

I have many 8 digit oldies in my lair from way back when I joined but here's my 7 digit oldies... I may have more but these two are the only ones I remember haha. Wonder is simply beautiful by the way! I've got a couple of oldies

Still have my progens Erebus and Nyx who are decade old 7-digits.

And I picked up a couple of 6-digits when Gaolers released Granulf and Haizea

on top of that the majority of my modern perma dragons are 5+ years old but not too low on the digit side.

oldies are goldies in my opinion.

I remember when there were only a couple of gem genes!!, dragons certainly do carry the legacy of what time they’re from. When I started playing —around the second Riot of Rot I believe? — IriShim was still really popular- but! - Circuit had fallen out of favour and IriShimGembond was all the rage /giggles, gentle amused eyeroll/ I was so so convinced for the longest time that Gembond was a gem gene and not a treasure gene because of that!! I’m sooo glad we have Fade & whatever its pairing is called now, I never felt like I could replace iri or shim even if they looked kind of funny haha. And goodness, so many of my dragons are still IriShimGembond, because almost all of my dragons come from when I first started playing :oo Though I did finally re-gene my first of those old IriShimGem, my avatar dragon who I absolutely adore, to be IriShimVeined instead.) It is so strange to think just how *many* of my dragons are going to be turning “1 decade” in the age ‘hover over’ menu in my lair, over these next few months. Trill is already there! It’s a little intimidating just casually having a dragon like that?? Like, how much is a 6 digit XYX level 25 dragon with matching eye colours and a gem gene that is a decade old worth? I have no idea, but I know it’s probably a butt-ton. It was very very cool to read a more nuanced perspective of old dragon trading, too!! (Not only just reflecting on my own lair problems XD) I had no idea about certain flights only having a small handful of tradable old dragons >:33 (and I agree Mr. Swampman looks great right now! Hehe) I hadn’t really thought about how important progenitors and original flight popularity were for old OLD trading, either :oo I mean by the time I joined for the 2nd Riot, my progen already has 7 digits. 7 digits STILL feels young to me vs 6 digits feel older tbh . . . Can’t belIEVE we’re almost at 10 digits . . . /confused stress !! Oh I remember the tiny Nocs !! . . . I think my Ocarina was tiny ?? I know most of my oldest dragons, I had the size recorded in the bio because sometimes it would change whenever they bred. I should look at that glitched dragon resource you posted, I have no idea what 2Ls are. Kozai is such a handsome boy [emoji=heart size=1]

Currently, my oldest dragon is only two years old! He's an XYX, too, so i'm super excited to get him!

Mostly because they have some attributes or other (E.G. special lineage, close to my birthday, etc). Not willing to spend the entirety of my funds on a single old derg, haha! She has seen a lot. Been through multiple scatterscrolls and breed changes. I remember the ups and downs of the site's early years. How Coliseum was struggling to run during the flight festivals. The rollbacks. The unique familiars we were given as a thank-you for being patient. When Iridescent/Shimmer Imperials were hip and trendy. The time when Auction House was sold out of dragons during a dominance battle. We have come such a long way. The site has improved and grown a lot. And the staff? I can't imagine the kind of pressure they have endured during all these years, for real. I really respect their perseverance and hard work. Perhaps the saying "Diamonds are made under pressure" can be applied here.

My oldest dragon is Xaldin! Idk how special he is but he's one of 4 ice/navy/purple imperials on the site (and one of 63 non-exalted dragons with the combo overall), he's an 8d 7 year old who's turning 8 on the 9th of May, and he's currently level 2.
