TOPIC | Should I breed my G1 Aethers?
1 2
I am a G1 lair (mostly), and I scrambled back when Aethers were released to scoop up abandoned G1 Aethers because gosh darnit I love Aethers. I've been debating breeding these cuties now, once they're fully gened, because I love looking at baby Aethers. Should I just buy an Aether breeding pair, or just use these silly G1s? I have a whole tab but for example-

Honestly? Its your decision :o Though I personally wouldn't ;w; I like keeping offspring lists clean. You could always put them in forsee progeny and look a their babies!!

@Options that's true, just my lair is getting a little cramped and I am not emotionally prepared to shill 300k just for 5 more lair space.

whoa, Corundum is great, twinkle is really a lifesaver here

- pros: baby aethers are so cute
- cons: EVERY baby aether is cute and you will want to keep them all (this is what happened to me when I started breeding aethers and I have so many now)
- pros: you have lots of hibden space though!

overall I'd say go for it! can't go wrong with baby aethers. and, just speaking personally, I like having records of all my hatches in my permas' offspring lists even if I don't end up keeping them all.

@Achaius I use my hibden space for fodder, poorly use it, but I use it for them none the less. I for some reason keep my permas in my lair, so to separate them into hibden makes me wiggle. I do want to start fodder breeding with cute lil aethers though.

@Options True, I could! But I really wanted UMAs on them haha.

This is certainly up to you, and I don't mind if my g1s have hatchlings, personally! (After all, the point of g1s is to generate new colors and lineages into the FR history.) It could be a legacy/lineage project too, if you wished to find reasons 'to' nest them together besides cute aether babies. ♥

So I say do it if you feel so compelled!

"You, sent out beyond your recall, go to the limits of your longing. Embody me. Flare up like flame and make big shadows I can move in. Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror."

@bonivich I apologize, but while I've seen legacy projects, I have never been sure HOW they worked.. do you mind explaining it?

I know my lore for the 8 I have was they were part of the initial 'crash' return- so maybe they could be legacy of the ORIGINAL SPACE babes?

Do you ever plan to sell your G1s or let them go? If so, I wouldn't breed them, but if not I'd say go for it! Naming the babies before you sell them will mean less chance of the offspring list getting cluttered with garbage or exalted unnamed. There is nothing quite like the dopamine hit of seeing the new silly little creatures your beloved permas make esp because baby aethers are so good... but on the other hand if you're gonna breed them you'll probably want to get comfortable exalting the ones that don't sell. Most of my aether trio's babies get exalted, but the ones that're rehomed and loved are really loved. @Axqu I plan on keeping them for the most part, since almost all of them are from the week the Aether's were released and likely from the original "Galore" eggs. I think I have one that's a month older.

The babies were gonna be fodder anyways for my lair. Probably give them a week on the auction house if I'm doing the legacy project for the pairs. Then yeehaw them to Space Dad.
