the first lord ↠ A being now of death, night, and darkness made flesh, Erebos was once a primordial, formless entity and not 'fettered' by the chains that bind him now to mortal make. A weaver hidden within the aether, making use of the space between, the nothingness without name or visage; and in it he formed the matter to hold all things together, letting its expanse swell even without his careful considerations. For him, darkness was but another side of light, but it was to be this light that, one day, would cast him to mortal earth.

For, as he was born, so another primordial spirit was born in the burst of star-light of the largest, strongest star. And for her, the galaxies spun. As Erebos crafted the darkened matter so she crafted the heavenly bodies to give it purpose and shape. To offer it a place, as Erebos offered the darkness its own. And with her mark bearing upon his eyes, Erebos tasted the nectar of starlight, of the gift and curse of light's first form.
