In general, we all agreed that main characteristics of Lion Dance creatures are big eyes, fluffy/shaggy/fringed bodies, and square lion/dog-like heads! There were some more abstract interpretations of the theme, and some folks who went for traditional Dragon Dances instead, but predominantly the theme resulted in Big 'Ol Huge Eyed Square Creature. For scrying, we saw (in descending order) Obelisks (6) and Gaolers (4) which are already very fluffy lion/dog - y creatures, followed up by 2 Aethers, and 1 each of Imperial, Spiral, and Auraboa. Warm tones (mostly red/gold) were the clear favorite, with 10 in that range compared to only 2 exclusively cool-toned scries, and 3 that mixed colors evenly or went for a rainbow effect. In the dressing room, which is of course limited by actual dragons in lair, we saw 5 Obelisks, 3 Imperials, 2 Ridgebacks, and 1 each of Skydancer, Tundra, and Bogsneak (though we couldn't actually see the Bogsneak!). Warm tones still dominated though at less of a lead - 6 fully warm outfits, 5 mixed or rainbow, and again 2 cool tones - from the same folks as the cool-toned scries.
