only picking a few samples for most of these, except for the silly names at the bottom, since I have a lot of saved scries.

sometimes I scry fandragons:


if I change my mind from a previous scry I mention that in the scry name:


sometimes I scry a dragon I already own:

(fun fact; Paradiso's scry was named first, the name came up when I was scrying him and it suited him so well that I kept it)

sometimes I scry a theme:

(Annie was already named when I scried her, but I knew I had to make her a bananaber as soon as I saw her tert)

and sometimes, my scry names get silly...

When I do save them, it's usually a brief description on what the idea was.

[character/reference] v1, [character/reference] v2
[dragon name] [gene], [dragon name] [different gene]
[color theme] like for example Melon - all the colors are named after a melon fruit.

Or it's one of the myriad of "random [number up to and exceeding 30]" because I sometimes pop into the scryshop and like the random scry you're first presented with, and apparently I've done it more than 30 times and have seemingly lost count afterwards.

But I've done less saving scries these days unless I need something to test out an outfit or accent idea. I usually just copy paste possible scries into the specific dragon's bio directly without saving them.

mine are all from pursuits so they're random ** and most ly a variant of "kjsdhgoia," "463623636," or "aaaaaaaa"

Most of them, I name them after what they're based on (animal, character, etc.) or something related to their basis, or after the real dragon that I'm scrying (or, once again, something on-theme). Scries that I save because they're pretty usually get named after their theme (like "purple sunset" or "icy survivor" or whatever). Random scries that I like (which make up...a pretty large percentage of my named scries) usually get named "random" or "random pretty" or whatever they remind me of, like "random angel" or "random Halloween." Pretty Foresee Progeny babies usually get named "pretty colors," for some reason.

mine are either keysmashes, lyrics of whatever song i happen to be listening to, or just simply "yeah"

Mine vary. I used to be descriptive and put silly things or I used specific names and comments on certain traits:

Many of my Scries are named after the dragon they're scrying or their general theme. The majority, however, are random dragons generated when you enter Predict Morphology from the Scrying Workshop page or click Import Dragon with no ID. They're all named "Randomorph" with some short description, ranging from "Flair Galaxy" to "ew." And I have no less than 63 saved.

There's a reason I now go through the button in dragon profiles to reach Predict Morphology. I'm running out of scry slots as is...
