So. I've recently come back to FR after a long while of being away, and with Pirate Day happening, I've been rethinking my [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/lair/388810/1449585/1]pirate gang[/url]. I was thinking about giving them a queen who runs a "home base" island and has multiple crews with their own boats and captains, kinda like Gabool in the Redwall series.
I have multiple issues with them:
1) The name. With harpies getting their revamp, I feel like I should rename the Harpy Pirates. I was thinking about them being named after the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/world-map?pinx=2150&piny=3115&view=land&viewpin=true]strait that I am thinking they'll sail.[/url] However, I don't particularly enjoy any of the names I have come up with.

For me, I think aesthetics of a cool pirate crew is the motleyness of it, even the diversity if you will. Different shapes, sizes, different clothes, playing to a rag-tag bunch.
With your idea of a pirate fleet though, you could also temper that with some kind of aesthetic consistency - e.g. dress each how you like, but each crew having the same colour of a piece of clothing, like the pirate bandanas or scarves.

To me personally, making a pirate dragon is mainly making a good-looking outfit & including some Pirate Apparels in it. I add those randomly because they goes well with the rest & only when the outfit is done do I write the lore of the dragon.
It's all based on their vibe, I go with the flow x3

I'd check the Grand Exchange or dressing room to see if you want to incorporate any of Patches' gear, since it's Pirate week— I just revamped one of my dragons with mostly-Patches stuff. Their color schemes look very suited to the Quiet or Dour Sailor sets, plus the weaponry and accessories. With that blue color scheme, Altelagus would look fantastic with the [item=fancy compass]!
