Catholics can eat Capybaras for the fish on Fridays tradition. Apparently, South American locals convinced the Catholic church that Capys were fish because they're semi-aquatic.

The oldest known depiction of a smiley face appears on a jug that held sherbet wine found at a Turkish dig site, and dates to around 3,300 years ago.

In ancient Egypt, pet cats usually didn't have names, and were called either 'miu' or 'miut' meaning 'he/she who mews'. The first recorded name of a cat was the name of a cat that belonged to a priest of Thutmose III, and was 'Nedjem', the ancient Egyptian word for 'sweet'.

Hey, friendly reminder to drink water, stretch, and take a short break if you can. Stay healthy! Also, don't forget about any chores or tasks you might be putting off.
Within Norse Mythology there's a poem known as the Catalogue of Dwarves. This is a list of dwarf names, many of which Tolkien used for his books. Gandalf is one of them!

And if I remember correctly dark elves and dwarves were possibly the same thing in Norse Mythos (hence why they're a kind of elf in the Elder scrolls franchise).

Earwigs are doting mothers and they guard their eggs until they hatch and continue to feed, protect, and groom their young until their second molt

In every other kennel club except for AKC, Groenendaels, Belgian Lakenois, Beligan Tervurens, and Belgian Malinois are the same breed! They make up the Belgian Shepherd, and each one is just named after it's coat type!

A blue arcane spiral dragon lying on her side. On her tail she is holding a small flag of Finland and on her hands she is holding a pale wooden sign with text "Pardon me, my English is awful" written on it.
The largest non-animal organisms are mycelial networks! what we see as mushrooms are essentially the fruiting bodies of fungi, which are primarily composed of fungal "roots" stretching deep into the ground. These are used to spread nutrients to all ends of the network and can be as big as entire forests! other plants are known to piggyback off of the mycelial network, using the fungi to share information between other plants in the forest

also, vinyl records work not but bumping the needle up and down, but by wiggling it side to side

No need to ping, I'm subbed to all my own threads!
It takes an investment of exactly 172 speed EVs (Effort Values) for an Arcanine to outspeed a non-boosted Gholdengo, assuming both Pokemon have a perfect 31 IVs (Individual Values) invested in speed and a non-speed-boosting nature. To reliably outspeed Gholdengo, use an Arcanine with the Jolly nature (which boosts your speed), so you can outspeed even Gholdengo with speed-boosting natures. Also, in Generation IX (Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet), Weavile is no longer viable for competitive use despite being in top tiers since its release. This is due to it losing access to the moves Throat Chop and Triple Axel, as well as the increased frequency of entry hazards in this generation. Additionally, a new Pokemon, Chien-Pao, has the same typing (Ice/Dark) as Weavile and fills the same role on a team as Weavile (fast physical sweeper) while having higher stats and access to better moves, such as Crunch/Throat Chop, Psychic Fangs, and Sacred Sword. Chien-Pao was so good that it was banned in some formats of the game, but despite that, Weavile remains in low tiers. Pour one out for my pal Weavile [emoji=aberration sad size=1]

Here's a fun fact. Did y'all know the Appalachian mountains are older than dinosaurs, Pangea, the Atlantic Ocean, animals with bones, trees, and the rings of Saturn?

i have another fact... technically lobsters don't die of old age (ok honestly it depends on how you want to define old age based on this explanation). because they're crustaceans they need to molt to create new exoskeletons however, as the age they continue to get larger and larger. a lobster will either die during molting because the energy demands are too great or their exoskeleton will slowly degrade because they can't muster enough energy to create a new one. for some reason lobsters can produce telomerase which helps repair DNA so it won't accumulate damage or mutations, telomeres have associations with aging in some organisms but not all (humans seem to be especially affected by telomere damage). this means that an old and a young lobster are of similar strengths, also their lifespans are around 45-50 years which is super long for an arthropod!
