oooh i always love having some fun with a player's choice theme !! [columns][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/83631929][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/836320/83631929_350.png[/img][/url][nextcol]I recently started a little lore 'project/connection' of sorts with a friend of mine; our respective clans are already VERY interconnected but between our two lairs we're building out a story for a little ragtag Arcane clan... and my boy [b]Yahenni[/b] here is one of its "founders". What was initially kind of a fun little side-lore thing we've now completely fallen head over heels with, and Yahenni went from just being another pretty boy in my lair to like.. my absolute baby. I adore him. :'D Lore-wise, he's a prince in a self-imposed exile because he uh. kinda unlocked how to summon black holes and might have destroyed half of his clan, but it's fine, y'know..[/columns] [columns]I love how I used to really not like oranges and yellows on dragons and now Metals is one of my favorite colors... [b]Rielle[/b] here is one of my big favorites recently. She's the first grandkid of my progens that I've kept, and I didn't realy expect to get as attached to her as I thought I would, but I absolutely adore her. Somehow in a clan full of like, weird fey dealings, dark magic and occult stuff, Rielle is like the most goth one of the "royal family", lol.[nextcol][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/83324452][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/833245/83324452_350.png[/img][/url][/columns] [columns][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/82924265][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/829243/82924265_350.png[/img][/url][nextcol]I need to stop being lazy and actually write out [b]Stet[/b]'s lore, but he's a shady doctor who -- is a very good doctor, mind you! he just seems to know about your ailments before you even have them, and he just takes a bit of blood from his patients to use for his magic, it's nothing to worry about probably :^)[/columns]

I am going with a theme of [b]Primal Projects[/b]. [b]Draenen[/b], a project more than a year long, most of it the attempt to breed his rare color set in my friend's Light lair. This project began when someone gifted me the Beltane fest-accent in Secret Santa exchanges year before last, and I decided to design a Fae who looks like a singed leaf to fit it. And [i]of course[/i] the colors I came up with could not just be easy and already exist on an available dragon. Why did I ever think an Obsidian primary would make it easier? [emoji=nocturne tongue size=1] When he finally deigned to hatch, he was kind enough to inherit his Wildclaw mother's Iridescent gene, though (almost*) everything else had to be scrolled/vialed; Iridescent was the only one I had not bought and stored away - well, the Koi gene I won in an event raffle before the project began - so, thank you RNG for small favors. [emoji=nocturne laughing size=1] [i]*(He does have one other original feature - Myrid. The plan v.1 included Noxtide secondary, but his father's Myrid, added after I finalized Draenen's design, worked so well that I kept it.) Have you ever had that feeling of 'you might be useful [i]someday,[/i] dragon, but not all of the parts of your project exist yet?' Right. One of those. When Undertide was added, I finally saw what Danzante had been waiting for (best viewed with his familiar, as they very much come as a set) - [center][url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/79096014][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/790961/79096014_350.png[/img][/url][/center] ------------------------------------------ and, [b]Iapahu[/b], a Light Primal I bought to fit the Mirage Puffer coliseum accent, and added Flecks to when the gene was expanded to modern breeds. Iapahu never felt quite finished, until the new recolor of Boneyard Bard, [i]Macabre Musician[/i], arrived in Joxar's token shop; a perfect fit. Aria is one of my older dragons. I acquired her from an exalt rescue pretty early after I joined. She's seen a few secondary gene changes, but I've always loved her bright colors. I've also changed her name twice, but both were music themed because she just looks so harmonious! He's very dear to me and makes up one of my earliest hatchery pairs, Inkheart. He was also the first dragon I really entertained any lore for, even if it's minimal. He's the oversee of my Inkworld clan, all inspired by Cornelia Funke's wonderful series of novels.
