Scripps eyes are always layered above genes, so everything here is working as intended, even though it looks bad
found an issue with fade primary on hatchlings

the accent color gradient crosses the underbelly line at the base of the tail. looks like a template error to me since it doesnt seem to show up on other poses but is consistent across colors.

Noxtide seems to have an error where lionfish shows on the arm much more obviously than it should.

at least, I really hope it's an error. It's very jarring and it doesn't happen nearly to this extent on modern breeds.

[i]I've noticed this, too, but it seems like a lot of the secondaries have this problem.
For example, peregrine on Abes vs on others,

This is very noticeable on XY color combos.

Aberration Noxide has a little bit of Lionfish where the wing connects to the body, that affects all three poses:

Weaver (and maybe Eel) on both male and female Aberrations seems to have a bit of a white halo on the shoulder spots. This is more apparent on darker colours.
Here's another gene without the "halo"/how it should probably look like.

TheWildThings this is normal! some breeds have secondary genes "continuing" outside of their area as the primary gene on the wing arms. same happens for example on wildclaws, spirals and skydancers

I agree, but I don't think the connection features another gene?

@TheWildThings lionfish is the primary counterpart of noxtide, and the arms will have the features of the secondary gene's primary counterpart, and this happens in all of the breeds that have the genes continuing over their wing arms

I have seen others comment it, but adding my example in since I feel Raspberry is a pretty solid example (that I bumped into). There's something just a little off with facet (+crystal) (and not the wrong layer highlights), it feels too saturated or missing a shadow layer? Compare M/F Aberration Raspberry Facet to other breeds with the same;

It's definitely darker on older breeds. It could be an intentional design? Zooming in on Clip Studio, there's more highlighted areas than on the older breeds.
