nabiki if you're referring to the straight line, that's not a split joint- that's just the skin between the wing joints being stretched out
If not I genuinely don't see what the problem is nor what those red lines are pointing at. one of them is pointing at the forewing joint, and the other is pointing at... the far wing??

Nabiki If you are referring the elbow of the wing not appearing on the far wing, it will not appear. Look at bird wings, you cant see the joint above the wing, you can see it below not above. There is nothing wrong with the hatchling art.

The wing looks disconnected, in the line art, at the shoulder. Look at where the bone would be, the joint is split. There should be one, not one and a half, limbs there. I've had baby birds, any bird with a wing like that would be at the vet pronto and still would probably never fly.

That's not bone. That's skin.
Also, this isn't a bird. It's a dragon. Its wings are not going to be exactly the same as a bird's, even if it's feathered. A bird doesn't have a membrane on it's wing, now, does it? It's more like a bat wing, with feathers attached.

And this one in a very similar pose: Sorry, since Skydancers are feathered, bird-skeletons are what I use to compare and that 'flap' shouldn't be there...it looks like the wing bone where it comes into the shoulder is partly and painfully fractured.

A bat, with wings stretched out doesn't have the skin curled like that. I'm just saying the line art needs to be cleaned up.

They also don't rest their wings back, but either to the side, or forward, which is another thing that makes it just feel like there's something wrong with the baby's near side wing.
